Sorry, can't link to twitter at work, so I couldn't see what exactly DLed wrote.

Michael Jenkins-WR- Falcons Sep. 8 - 3:36 pm et

Michael Jenkins (shoulder) missed Falcons practice Wednesday.

Jenkins isn't going to play against the Steelers, giving Brian Finneran the starting nod. Finneran's upside is probably around four grabs for 60 yards.

I can't believe this team with Super Bowl aspirations is in a situation where we are starting a guy at WR that I doubt would make 10 rosters in this league.

Not hating on Finneran, but he is old, slow, and shredded his knee in back to back seasons. I mean, seriously, there has to be a better option.

I'd be shocked if we got in aerial dog fight against the Steelers with Dixon in, although you never know when we play them, so maybe this won't be a big loss. That said, WR and OL are the only places where I'm a touch nervous. I really hope Harry has a big game. That would put me a bit more at ease.

If people think we are going to shove the run down Pittsburg's throat on Sunday, man, sadly mistaken.

The Falcons might win but they are going to have to hit some big plays in the passing game to do it.

You have to pass to get the eight out of the box and run to make them think twice about blitzing. Keep them honest is the term.

Peyton...you have a clue.

WOW!!! That was expected, but not 100% agreed with from me. I hope he does well, but man we have had a week to do something else and nothing.

Just WOW!!!

A week to get another wr to play for 1 game or 2? Patience is a virtue! Let's see what happens in the game and then judge. There's no use complaining about it now.

Keep in mind the Falcons got back HD, Finn won't be asked to run past anyone, merely help pick up tough catches and to be a big body in the end zone, both of which he's done well this Preseason. Finn is old but he has another solid season left in him. The WR crew will be fine to start this week against the Steelers, I say this because I know TD has more football intelligence and knows his team better than anyone here.

The thing is you don't sign a free agent to play for a week. We have to stick with our roster and if we signed someone to replace Jenkins someone else would have to be let go from the roster. So why replace Jenkins if he is going to be out 1 game?

Again I see the usual crowd here claiming we are so weak at WR and need to sign every available free agent.

This is not Madden we are not going to be trading for and signing free agent WR's at whim, about the only thing we would do if Jenkins is out more games is call up one of the rookies on our PS our one of the rookies we cut.

We are fine at WR, we are going to have Jenkins as our #2 probably for a few more years, we are not going to be spending money on another #2. The sooner some of you realize it the easier it will be to get on with your lives.

Who is complaining? Lil' too late for that...LOL!!!

Patience is a virtue in many aspects of my life. Football is my entertainment as is this board. I don't have to be patient, any fan of the Falcons can be construed as having enough patience to watch grass grow, paint dry, or a pot of water start its boil.

21yrs of patience Bro-ham.

Indeed, indeed. Some people carry things over and some people don't. My patience got renewed with the new regime back in '08. I can understand if yours didn't.

You don't have to go into the whole "I'm a fan and I can do what I want to do" response with me. I get it. Just saying that you could be wrong. In return I could be wrong as well.

I'm down for waiting but you don't have to if you don't want to. Just givin a lil insight, that's all.
