StainlessStill
Ive gotton mixed reports on how steelers fans treat away fans. From who? To my personal experiences (and it's been tons of it) here's what I told a fellow coming down with his buddies:You should expect a VERY good time. I go to about 6 Steelers games a year and let me tell you that not only is Heinz Field beautiful, but Steelers fans are one of the best in the world and I've never seen heckling go on in such a dis-tasteful degree. We will respect you like any other fans. Of course, you might hear boo's here and there but when it comes down to it, don't be shocked to have a couple brews with some fans after the game. We will welcome you with maybe a little trash talk on the side. Should be fun for you.The game will be awesome and I think it's a great matchup across the board. It's supposed to be a nice day as well. expect Steelers fans to shake your hand and offer their good lucks. Hope you get the full experience from the city, to the Terrible Towel experience, all the way to the tailgating.Try to check out Bettis's Bar and Grille. It's about a block away from the stadium on the left side of the street. You won't miss it, but it's def something you should check out for a fan experience. Station Square and Promani Brothers in the strip is a nice sight see as well, but I'm not sure how many days or how long you'll be staying. Also, if you don't have a parking pass, try to get to the game as early as possible to land a valuable parking spot, that's important (unless you walk to the stadium of coarse.) Steelers fans are crazy and will have the beer and dogs cookin at 5.AM.Let me know how your overall experience goes. Hope to not let you down in my descriptions. I go to about 6/8 home games a year. Won't be able to go Sunday though since family is in from travel. As far as Cheatriots* land, they aren't too fond of a fanbase themselves, in fact, they are one of the leading candidates and the dictionary definition of scum and arrogance. I was at a Steelers/Pats game in '07. Lets just say they did every thing they could to make it uncomfortable, my families children and all. Duff_Man
I was going to attend, but with my trip to Atlanta only one week later I just couldn't swing it. I went back in 1999 and was treated ok. Got a few sodas thrown at me. If you are the type that can't keep your mouth shut, don't wear a jersey. Oh and be sure to tell any girlfriends or wives to keep quiet as well. The Northeast is WAY different from the south. We are a bunch of angry people. If you don't know how to handle yourself at these games, trouble will find you.

JOEinPHX
Woo Hoo! I got an email this morning from US Airways saying I could fly in and out of Indianapolis on a special for 15K miles. Since that's almost exactly what I had in my mileage account, I booked a flight into Indy on Friday. From there I'll drive 3 hours to Columbus and hook up with my brother-in-law to see OSU-Miami on Saturday. After that I head to Pittsburgh, another 3 hours, where my ticket and sidelines pass will be waiting. Head back to Columbus Sunday after the game, then back to Indy on Monday. Big football weekend! I envy your record - we might both have been at the San Fran game last year, that sounds like one of your blowouts. Falcons are 3-1 when I'm in attendance, with only the 2008 playoff game here in Phoenix to mar the record. If I may be so bold, your wife needs to go with the Ryan jersey. Brooking stuff used to be fine, but is now better suited to dusting and cleaning up spills.EDIT - Check those seats of yours - if it is section 320, that's club level, midfield. You could do a whole lot worse! Edited September 8, 2010 by JOEinPHX

Close, but it shouldn't have been. Seeing Turner get stoned four straight times at the goal line was hard to swallow.

Tandy
Have fun everyone! I can't make this one - I already have my road games picked out - and unfortunately, this year, the Steelers game didn't make the cut.I have been to quite a few games there over the years and have always had a lot of fun. They aren't nearly as bad as Philly, Giants or Raiders games for the fans of opposing teams. I've always had a really good time.Take 'em some luck, Falcon Fans!!!!RISE UP! oxygencube
Like the above poster stated, Steeler fans are overall great fans. I was at the Falcons / Steelers tie a few years back and they treated me with respect and heckled with a good attitude. I will be up there again this Sunday 10 rows back in the closed endzone just above the "Steeler Country" sign. I'll be rocking my red Ryan jersey with a black/red Braves hat... holla at me. The Falcon Jedi
I wish I could go. Steeler fans are some of the best in the NFL. They talk trash (who doesnt), but they are generally respectful. THat team has a great history that they are all proud of. I hope one day we can have that kind of tradition. StainlessStill
ok so its section 523 row gg...seats 1, 2 and 3......but im happy as **** to be going...Man, I'll tell you what. Those 500 sections are THEE best seats in the entire house. Those where the real fans come to play and the crazy S.O.B's. A couple games, I had seats down in the 100 sections. Even though the view was just awe-inspiring, the energy certainly wasn't the same as it was up top, so I gathered by sh!t and hiked upwards only to be greeted by people pounded their fists off of Steel Walls and signs and people hugging and jumping on each others back whenever we'd score a touchdown. I can't tell you how many strangers I've hugged AND cried with over the years at Steelers games lol, and their ALL up top..
