Testasparo
Could be, but I think Oregon is a program who is a lot better off and a lot better coached right now than LSU is. LSU just has no kind of identity whatsoever, and unless they somehow manage to win 10 or 11 games this year, Miles is gone.
Mr Pickle1
I'm wondering if the AD is scheduling teams like this so he'll have a really good excuse for firing a coach that's won a NC.
Carter
Oregon is going to smoke LSU. Les Miles is losing his mind and I really doubt his talent can bail him out of that one. Oregon is a very very talented team itself.

Rich Rod is making progress up there, finally getting his players in there, and he has the full support of the university brass.

I thought it was really crappy the way the fans and alumni treated him in his first 2 years. The guy was working with a pro-style team for almost two years. Trying to get pro-style players into a spread offense is like a square peg in a round hole. It takes time for any coach to get their type of guys into the program. I think with their continuous recruitment of incredibly speedy skill position players, they're going to be putting up some big numbers in a conference that is generally considered slow. I can see it at Michigan with the boosters because Rich Rod is totally not a Michigan Man. Money talks. He knew nothing of the traditions of Michigan before he got there and he has brought the NCAA snooping around, which has never really been associated with the Michigan program.Maybe they don't realize that Lloyd Carr picked a perfect time to retire. He literally left that program with the worst pool of talent it has probably ever had... and that talent had to adjust to a drastically different offensive mind.I do think Michigan will make a splash in the Big 10 this year though. Rich Rod has a lot of his guys into the system and Denard Robinson looked straight up like Pat White. They moved the ball at will most of the time. Cable Guy
This should be a good game.I think that having kick off classic games like this and the Chick fa la game will start to become the norm. It gives the fans of college football the opportunity to see big match ups early in the season that would otherwise not happen on a regular basis. I laugh too when I hear anyone say Rich Rod is a good guy. He's far from it. He's the kind of coach who does whatever it takes to win, but unlike a lot of the successful guys we associate that mentality with he gets shady in a hurry.Who knows then. Michigan is certainly giving the perception that they fully support him. Les Miles doesn't run too drastically different an offense and he is probably the preferred choice of anyone associated with Michigan because of his history. Guess we'll see how it goes down.Appreciate the inside view... I know a lot of fans are not happy with him at all, but above anything want to see results on the field. NC/LSU, Alabama/VT, VT/Boise were all really entertaining games. I was standing up at Taco Mac cheering for freaking North Carolina when they were driving toward the endzone, that's how into it I was. Soooo much better than going through 2 and 3 weeks of horrible and unexciting games. I'm hoping Jeremy Foley can nut up and get us into one of these games, against a Nebraska or USC or Notre Dame or Oregon, ANYONE that I'm not used to seeing us play, and I'll be one happy fan. I can see it coming in the next couple of year. The Sugar Bowl will hold a kick off classic in the Super Dome. They will try to get a match up of either Texas, Oklahoma or Southern Cal vs UGA, UF, FSU or Miami. If they get enough of these kick off classics going it would be like a mini Bowl season to start the year off. It would be kinda cool to say we went to Arlington and played a non-conference game outside of the southeast in the last 24 years.I'm just tired of seeing us play the same freaking teams over and over again while there are huge marquee games like FSU v. Oklahoma, Miami v. Ohio State, Alabama v. PSU. Yeah, we've played all those teams and beaten all of those teams in bowl games, but it'd be nice to see us put our money where our mouth is for one game during the regular season. SacFalcFan
Is he looking to get rid of the Home and Home with Oregon in 2014 - 2015, I believeno one knows what he is going to do about our current schedule. he may leave it the same or he may change it, but the home and home with louisville is stupid. it does nothing and i hate the oregon home and home with our sec schedule. Both teams have enough time to find someone else as an opponent to fill the void left by canceling it.
