Dharma Initiative
Outside of Roddy and Gonazalez the only player on the team last year to catch more than 1 touchdown was Justin Peelle. Everyone else had 0 or 1 after that. I was stunned at this and hope it's fixed this season.

xX MaTTy IcE Xx
although that stat is kinda eye popping...you cant have a pro bowler at every single position...example why we didnt sign housh or trade for vj and all the other players the board members think we need when we dontmost teams would kill for players like turner white and gonzo when they were in the redzone
kirbyr
And yet matt still threw 22 TDs while being injured.

Our production of players after Tony and White was a thing that hurt us last year on offense, specifically Jenkins. Here's to hoping that the return of Douglas and the 08 version of Jenkins. Jesus
Makes sense since they were the only receivers or backs for that matter to play to start all 16.
dmite
Jenkins really had 2, but the refs were in bed with the Pats.
Geneaut
Well, this sort of underlines nitpick many people have with Ryan. It is perceived that he tends to focus on Roddy and TG too often.

Peyton
There are a million different stats you can look at, and they all say the same thing. The Falcons don't have enough weapons in the passing game.

Mojo Risin
So you're saying that Ryan likes to stay zoned in on Roddy and Gonzalez, our #1 receiver and HoF TE?Thanks for the update.

Geneaut
Just another point but we tend to also try to score on the ground a bunch with Turner. Mularkey is a creature of habit in the redzone. Edited September 7, 2010 by geneaut
Mojo Risin
Yeah, and it didn't work.Really? You might want to check our scoring production.

Mojo Risin
They finished 13th. You think that is what they were shooting for? With HD out and Ryan hurt?Did you check the year before? With what we have, we show we can be consistent in top 10 scoring. Also, our passing td to rushing td ration is on par with the saints Edited September 7, 2010 by Mojo Risin

Mojo Risin
It's just that they score a lot more of them.Yet, we are still up there with the top. Injured 2nd year QB, Injured RB, Injured slot receiver...... The year prior, top 10 in scoring with a rookie qb.This year we have more pieces back and a more experienced qb. Too much panic mode right now.
Mojo Risin
Let me also add that an improved defense will get our offense more possessions and better field position. Another thing that skews the stats for teams like the Saints.Defense was our problem last year.
