vel
OK so TJ Housh goes to the Ravens and now we go from a "Super Bowl-caliber" team to "Oh no we didn't get TJ and our offense sucks!" Too funny. This is really hysterical. When did Ozzie Newsome matter? When did Flacco become the better QB? So what he has Boldin/Housh now, he only throws Ray Rice the ball. I mean really, just cause the kid can throw farther doesn't mean his is better. Flacco 6584yds/35td/24int Ryan: 6356/38/25 and Ryan missed technically 3 games. Come on these comparisons are results of panic not logic. We went 9-7 with the whole football world against us! Dam near the whole offense lost time at one point or another. We were decimated by injuries compounded by the schedule. We have everyone healthy again (minus Meier). We have a revamped defense as well. We have a DLine that could be very good. We have a potential top LB corps. We finally have a #1 corner to go with our #2's. Flacco went to a much better situation (similar to Sanchez) with a very established defense. Ryan has had the team on his back since 08. Flacco has yet to be given the full reigns. I am a FALCON FAN. I feel like we can beat ANY team regardless of the situation. All of these worry warts are a joke if they consider themselves true fans. I don't care if we don't sign big name players. He didn't stick in Seattle for a reason. A new regime came in, wouldn't they want to keep a #1 WR being that is one of the hardest positions to solidify after QB? I am not worried. TD knows more than this whole board put together. Our job is to root and cheer for the team nonstop, not be couch coaches.

One side is content and one is not. Not being completely satisfied with a team doesn't make you not a fan. It means that you are tired of seeing the same old season over and over. vel
TJ isn't much of an upgrade if he was let go. How hard is it to find a #1 WR in this league? Very hard and if you were a new regime you definitely wouldn't just cut your #1. Now when he doesn't produce in Baltimore, remember these threads about wanting TJ so badly and considering him an upgrade. Ozzie built a very good defense early in his career but they have yet to do anything on the Super Bowl level since 2000. Yea we haven't done anything either but our organization has been in flux since its conception. We finally have some consistency on this team and everybody wants to bring in big names. I would rather take a flier on Blair White before TJ. We are trying to BUILD a perennially good team not BUY a contender right now. The Cowboys have consistently had some of the biggest names on that team yet haven't won a playoff game all decade until this year. Names don't make the team. This is a TEAM sport. Outside of franchise QBs, one player doesn't change the outlook of a team. Yes this forum is for us to debate/discuss but to say we completed missed out is absurd. 30 other teams missed out as well huh? If we wanted him that bad we would have traded for him to make sure we got him as opposed to wait for him to clear waivers and he goes where he wants. It is like the board is going into panic mode if we don't sign the biggest name available. If we brought in TJ, he would have to learn everything we do and who is to say that won't take more than a week. We play next Sunday. It takes time for a QB to build chemistry with a WR = more than a week. Stop letting these names get your panties in a bunch. I would have been happy if we got him but it doesn't change anything since we didn't. I still feel like we will be a top offense, beat the Ravens on Thursday in the Dome and proceed to the NFC Championship.Ignorant or not, that is fact.
