Ive read enough about available wideouts. Its time to begin the dialogue of how we crush Pitt. I will kick it off w/ a few points and I would love to hear your points too.

1. Regardless of who starts at QB...Batch/Dixon, if either one is not putting up points, they will switch to the other. Be ready for both!!

2. Our challenge is thier nasty D.

3. Always account for Harrison and Polamalu.

4. We absolutely must take advantage of their Offensive Line, it is their weak link!!!

5. Without Babs, other Dline members HAVE TO step up w/ a great game.

take it gentlemen....

For me the first thing that comes to mind is the SF game last yr. Why? There's, at least in my mind, a few simularities,.

A. Hostile crowd

B. Shaky QB position

C. Alledged vastly superior defense.

Will the Falcons blow em out? Probably not, but I truely believe some are making the

Steeler's defense sound like the "Steel Curtain" of bygone yrs.

i honestly think this game is a lock. they are going to run the ball a lot and our run d is solid. i am not worried about pitt. they are not close to the same team they were years ago and are with out their starting qb. falcs by 10.

KC and NE exploited our first string defense with the run. Im not so sure we are the same run stuffing D we were last year.

Maybe its because we didnt game plan in preseason.

On that note, we never did have our full first string in the entire preseason, did we? I think our defense is going to be unstoppable this year. On the other hand, I think it is their D that we need to worry about.

First and foremost, we have to stop their run game. Regardless of who starts at QB, they will try to establish a run game and we have to stop it; we stop the run game and we can attack their OL with the BeerMan, Abe, and Sid. If we stop their run game, I think we improve our chances of winning greatly. Second, we have to establish our run game and stick to it. Pitts D is solid and I don't expect Turner to have a huge day but we have to be efficient when we run the ball and have to be in manageable 3rd down situations.

this should be a simple game plan, stop the run, no franchise QB at the helm is a recipe for running the football, stop that and force whoever playing QB(doesnt matter) to throw the ball.... and make plays when u get a chance to..... if our offense can be balanced and keep there D off balance and force there offense to score points then that plays into our hands and we should be able to make plays.... weather its the d-line or the DBs

Let's hope our Birds can give them a new nickname. I like "Chenille Curtain". :)
