USAF HART
I hate the Saints, but anyone who has to be that **** ignorant to make a comment like that needs to be dealt with swiftly. They should fire him from his job and no one should hire him for a while.
Abe
He must be a member on this board. Many guys here don't pull any punches as well. That comment was low on couth. Who needs class when talking about the Saints though?
DaMeatTroughsEgo
Who cares? He was just making a point and it's not going to change that Katrina happened. It's been over 5 years. When is it not "too soon"???? Edited September 6, 2010 by DaMeatTrough
NoMoreVick
Who cares? He was just making a point and it's not going to change that Katrina happened. It's been over 5 years. When is it not "too soon"????Not the point. When a camera is on you, you can't say stupid crap like that. Regardless if that point is true or not, society is too sensitive, especially through the media. He'll be suspended for a while for that comment, if not fired. BadMoonRising
Who cares? He was just making a point and it's not going to change that Katrina happened. It's been over 5 years. When is it not "too soon"????A lot of us people in Louisiana lost people dear to us, in that disaster. It was insensitive just like the mosque at ground zero. Mathis81WR
Who doesn't love a good Katrina joke? I applaud Dan Hampton.
JayOzOne
Who cares? He was just making a point and it's not going to change that Katrina happened. It's been over 5 years. When is it not "too soon"????If you can't go to Bourbon Street and ask that question using a megaphone without being set on fire, then it's "too soon". Saying it in a television studio hundreds of miles away or anonymously on a message board is cowardly. I'm sure you wouldn't feel the same way of somebody talked about 9-11 in such a casual and offensive manner and it happened before Katrina. joenate
The fact that it has been 5 years is irregardless. People lost their lives in that tragedy. To joke about or ridicule that situation is classless, ignorant, and immature. Even a child wouldn't such a thing. That was beyond stupidity and idiocracy. Go ahead and blame it on people being "too sensitive" too! I personally know a guy who lost a family member in that tragedy. He is a Saints fan and I am a Falcons fan, but never will I joke about Katrina. I bet you if something as worse or even more worse happened like that here in Atlanta, it would be a different story. Man I tell ya, the self-serving hypocrisy of people.

joenate
Abd stop blaming Katrina and its aftermath for the Saints success. If it were the Falcons, you'll be crying foul. Stop with the hypocrisy and duplicity. I hate the Saints with a passsion as much as the next Falcons fan, but I have never and will never blame a disaster for their SB success.
