LouDog
Granted it was against a nobody team. Still, they came out and showed that they are still fast and hard hitting on Defense. Plus McElroy looked very good out there and our running game is still tops in the nation.
Bryant Denny
I liked the effort they showed as well. Julio looked like he did in 08 .That catch he made from AJ was freaking awesome, if he stays healthy he could have a monster year I think. Secondary had a couple of hiccups but improved as the game went on and D line, running game and special teams all looked good for first game of the year. CrimsonKat
I was there last night and I thought our offense looked outstanding. On defense, while we did not give up any touchdowns, it was apparent that our secondary is going to be a work in progress. At running back, we have four guys who deserve to get carries this year (Ingram, Richardson, Lacy, and Goode). I was probably most impressed with Goode, simply because I was not expecting the kind of runs I saw from him. Even behind the back-up offensive line, he ran with great vision and leverage. All in all, a good start. Next week certainly presents a much tougher test.
ChuyDawg
You better believe that the Penn St. gameplan will be to keep the Bama offense off the field as much as possible. I think they can run the ball effectively and exploit the Bama secondary on play action. I will be watching this game closely because I believe this game will answer a bunch of questions. Again, Bama has to figure out a way to keep their offense on the field. Richardson will help but I thought with Ingram this could be achieved alot easier since you would have a proven 1-2 punch. Julio will help but you can guarantee that he will be held in check with a double team. I mean no disrespect to Bama but I think this will be the most interesting game this Saturday.
