hawkeye
Forget about Baldwin and the rest. If we could hold off another year, I would much rather have Mohamed Sanu. I'mnot saying don't draft a WR next year, just not 1st rd. I would take a guy like Cecil Shorts in the 3rd tho. ButI would love to have this WR group for Ryan in the future: Roddy, Sanu, HD, Shorts, and Meiers. Sanu can do it all.He is just the type of player we like. Very versatile with good character.Appropriately, he’s on the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, which goes to college football’s most versatile player. The 6-2, 218-pounder seems to be the very definition of the award: As a freshman last year he caught 51 passes for 639 yards, rushed for 346 more out of the Wildcat, returned punts and kickoffs, had a 100-yard rushing game, three 100-yard receiving games, was the MVP of the bowl game and became the first Rutgers player in 16 years to have a receiving, rushing and passing touchdown. http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2010/09/sanu_can_do_it_all.html Edited September 5, 2010 by hawkeye
A-TowN.-
I think Sanu will be better than Britt coming out of Rutgers. If only he'd come out
hakim24
Forget about Baldwin and the rest? You cannot be talking about what looks like the best WR class in a number of years. If these guys all came out in different years, they all seem like they could be the 1st WR drafted. Then you have to throw in other guys like Greg Little and Ryan Broyles. Sanu is definitely a good player, but if he is the 1st or 2nd rated WR, we probably won't get a chance to draft him. The big difference in this draft is that we could end up with a top WR (all who I think are better than Sanu anyway)at the end of the 1st round. It just doesn't get much better and that is why I believe we will draft a WR very early next year.
atljbo
I dont get the point of drafting a WR this year if he is not going to be a future #2 WR... We have good slot WR's (HD and Miere)... We need a #2 WR... I think we will take advantage of the WR crop in the 2011 draft if the underclassmen enter like we think they will.We need a playmaking WR ASAP

TBH I really could live without a WR next year. You make it seem like these guys have been constantly in trouble and are completely eliminated from our board. Little hasn't even gotten in trouble....he just is having some issues with this agent thing. Baldwin had a problem because he slapped some girls ***.... again not a huge issue. Broyles had that issue in his freshman year....no other problems since. On top of that, we have absolutely no idea where Green or Jones will go. Yeah it seems like we won't be able to grab them now, but what if this agent thing goes bad for Green and he misses the season like Dez Bryant? Jones honestly is the 4th WR at this point because he has proven the least.

But you know how we are aboutthis character thing. I feel like it depends on the severity of the issue. And if they can look past some of themI would love Baldwin or Floyd. Its about when TD and staff does there research and look the player in there eye (get a feel for them) ... look at Spoon... He wasnt in any legal trouble but some GM's couldnt stand the guy,... They thought he talked to much with a big mouth and that it will get him in trouble... Some took him off their draft board.
atljbo
I'm pretty sure TD and his staff have there eyes on a couple of the big name WR's
Snelling44
I personally never understood skipping a position because next years class is better. If we have a chance at a good prospect, we should take him. We shouldn't pass him up because next year we might get a better guy. WAY too much happens between now and then. Doesn't seem right to me. Doesn't seem right to me.yep I agree. For example, a couple of year's ago it was rumored the 49ers passed up on a QB because they thought the next year's class was better. They really liked Jevan Snead, Colt Mccoy, Jimmy Clausen. Well a year later none of them came out to be the prospect they thought and they didn't pick any of them. hawkeye
As long as Jenkins is still under contract(til 2012) they will not draft a WR to replace him. We didn't even draftMeiers til late if we were that concerned. Like I said we might draft one but it won't be 1st rd. 1st rd will beOT or DE.
