I gotta think Florida slides a good bit despite winning. They did not look anything like a top 5 team today.

Also gotta say that Oklahoma should slide. There is no reason for any ranked team to have such close games against teams they have to pay to play against.

Utah should be ranked after beating Pitt.

Hard to believe Florida will more than likely still be ranked way higher than Georgia after the way both teams performed today.

Or that Florida will be highly ranked and South Carolina possibly still unranked after smoking a better team.

sc should be ranked for our game this coming week. also florida and oklahoma should both fall.. tcu and uga moves up.

I know this is only the week 1 poll we're talking about and ultimately it's irrelevant, but for the sake of discussion do you honestly feel like Florida deserves to be in the top 10 after the way they looked on Saturday? They looked like they hadn't practiced all spring or summer.

plus he is wrong on the fumbles.. 7 fumbles were not due to bad snaps.. it's not bad luck, it's called bad football.. you had a kicker miss an extra point and a field goal bad among other things.. bad luck isn't 26 net yards in 3 quarters.. that is just horrible football against a horrible miami of ohio team..

we both know they won't fall very far, but no on saturday that was not a top 10 team and i would even say not a top 15 team with what we saw on the field.. now this week could be a different story, but we are judging them right now on yesterday's performance.

I don't think any SEC team except for Bama deserves to be in the top 10 after this weekend, but I do believe that several should be higher than Florida. Even when plays went as designed and Brantley made his reads, the plays went absolutely nowhere. Demps tripled your team offense on one run in the 4th quarter. That's absurd.

I don't think the problem with handling snaps will be as bad going forward, but I have to wonder about how well UF's offense is going to get in shape in the coming weeks. It's not like UF has much wiggle room in the division. If you even have SOME problems with snaps, it's going to cripple UF in some conference games.

I want to see this offense and Brantley in conference play because he's not coming into a game when Florida is up by 40 points already. He has to go out and win it with his decisions from the beginning. Color me unimpressed thus far. We'll see how he handles a much much better team this weekend, then your next game is on the road against a Tennessee team that nearly beat you guys LAST YEAR with your amazing incredible national title or bust team. I wouldn't look past that trip to Knoxville if I were a Gator fan.

always look foward to the UT game every year and love the game. last year addizo went ultra conservative instead of being aggressive. not to mention UT had a defensive genius on their side, but at least we took care of business and got the W in the end. if florid didnt have so many bad snaps i guarantee the gators would have put over 50 on them, but they didnt. after watching some of the game again florida was starting to get in a little groove towards the middle of the 4th, but Im not 100% on that. I cant wait for the USF game right now, its gonna be a very interesting game to watch. I believe that 3 of the oline starters will be back, the snapping issue will be fixed, i want more of gillise, will the defense produce some 3 and outs and stop drives quicker. I still believe the gators can lose 2-3 sec games and still play in the seccg game and the team that im looking over my shoulder that can knock off the gators are none other than the gamecocks. also the gators are still fig out the offense, you go from a system that uses a dual threat to a system that uses a pocket style qb, there maybe a few hiccups along the way. also im unimpressed with uga also cant make a judgment with them playing a scrub team, and i only watched maybe 20 mins of the game.

It's a bigger problem than "well they're gonna go fix all of their problems this week" sorry friend, but you're being delusional. Florida very well could end up having a great year, but if you think that the growing pains are over than I suggest that you're out of your mind. Steve Addazio's play calling is absolutely horrible, I mean really, really bad. You can keep telling yourself whatever you want, but this isn't last year, Florida isn't entitled to anything, and judging by ONE game, don't deserve to be in the top ten, not even as much as Georgia does. That's just my two-cents. Once again I should re-state that Florida could prove me wrong, they could be a great team this year, but after the way they looked against what was an 1-11 last year, I don't think it's anytime to be boasting about anything, especially comparing them to a national championship team. I understand you might be taking the "optimist" approach, but there was nothing to be optimistic about after that game. The fact that you can be unimpressed with Georgia doing what they're supposed to do, in yet cautiously optimisitc about what Florida did just shows some pretty extreme bias.. It doesn't metter though, we'll see how things work out as the season goes along.

we stand in some good company.. the last team gator fans were unimpressed with was alabama and we saw how that ended for them last year.. anyone who saw the game on saturday and wasn't impressed with how we played regardless of the competition (uf had a worst opponent on the field and were pretty bad in that game) is a gator fan who believes miami of ohio is a good team (which is 1 fan on the internet btw i haven't seen one other gator fan try that spin). FSU and UGA were very impressive this past weekend and they did what they were expected to do and that was blow out inferior competition something a top 5 team should do thus uf is not a top 15 team after what we saw on saturday.

Haha are you that sensitive to it? UT might not have been about to beat you, but they kept the game close the whole time and what was supposed to be a 40 point blowout ended up being a 10 point win that was even closer than that would indicate.

Or are we just acting like Florida won so it was never in question?
