LADBABY
He is healthy for the opener so TD is happy. The Steelers will knock the rust off I am sure.
mrobinson3803
Yea I am very nervous at the fact he didn't have any playing time this preseason. I hope he can get up to game speed quickly and knock all the rust off. We will need him especially by week 3.

pr0d1gy
I think I would let him sit v the Steelers, too. The only WR they really have is Ward and Grimes could shut him down for the most part. Anytime the issue with a player is leg related and they play outside it's best to get them as much rest as possible.
Geneaut
I'm not that worried as long as Owens and Grimes are healthy.
ballfan
Well he sure looked solid in Preseason this year! I hope TD and Mike know something I don't know! I sure am Ready for the season to start just hope he is! I watched him very closely at Flowery Branch. He is very solid. No worries. I love Grimy and Ownes too. Throw in Franks and this position is significantly upgraded over last year. I promise.

~SEAMILL~
He is better than what we had (old #23). I know that by never seeing him play.

Tribal Chief
They were making sure the man stayed healthy. Why risk further injury in games that aren't important for a locked in starter??

Anytime the issue with a player is leg related and they play outside it's best to get them as much rest as possible.I love Grimes, but he can't cover Ward. It's the big strong WR that he gets manhandled by. With this shaping up to be a battle of running games, Owens should get the start IMO. He is the better tackler and Grimes will still see plenty of action regardless.
84White32Quizz
IF you can rewatch the game watch when the team is walking out of the locker room. I'm not saying it was him but number 23 walked out of the locker room fully dressed.
duncja
I'm not that worried as long as Owens and Grimes are healthy.Honestly that's my thinking right now. If our 1-2-3 were to be Owens, Grimes, and Williams/Franks, I'd be okay with that. I hope Dunta is everything we expect because it's just going to make things that much better. This year, I don't expect our secondary to be the problem.
FalconPio
He is healthy for the opener so TD is happy. The Steelers will knock the rust off I am sure.My point exactly. There should be no rust in a real game.Idk about you guys but he better be the next best thing after sliced bread
Peyton
As the President of the "Preseason Dunta Detractor Club", I feel it's obligation to make an appearance in this thread.I can't possibly be critical of the Falcons to hold him out with his hamstring being slow to loosen up, but it is a bummer that he suffered an injury after 1 week of camp that caused him to miss the entire preseason.Let's hope it's just one of those fluky things.
