Of course, it is only the preseason, but the numbers don’t lie – New Orleans is No. 1 in yards per game (422), No. 1 yards per play (5.89), No. 1 in passing yards per game (279.7), No. 4 in rushing yards per game (142.3) and No. 2 in time of possession (34 minutes, 7 seconds).

i guess its expected considering thats been the case for years now, but its encouraging to see the 2nd and 3rd string offenses doing just as well... :D

The offense will be even better than last year.

It all starts up front, and Jermon Bushrod has improved greatly over last season. Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans (best guard tandom in the NFL) are a year better. Adrian Arrington has emerged into a reliable reciever and Lance Moore is healthy for the first time in a year. Even Courtney Roby has worked at WR. Reggie Bush has evolved into a north-south runner instead of a east-west runner. Chris Ivory has burst onto the scene and appears to be a lock for the roster. Jimmy Graham will add another playmaker to the offense, and Heath Evans is healthy for the first time since the Miami game last season.

yep, their O is awesome. Never heard anyone deny that. But in another post someone was bragging about how close a lot of their losses were. It was meant as a brag but it really reveals the Saints have trouble winning the close games, so they better hope that O keeps it up. Contrary to popular belief, a 1 point loss is the same as a 30 point loss in the record books. ;)

... what team doesn't have trouble winning the close games? I'm willing to wager this is an area where the whole league struggles statistically.

Bingo we have a winner. Their O hasn't been in doubt for four years, its that defense that has perennially gotten worse under Payton!

Wait...what your saying is that the Saints offense is better than their defense? That's some revelation.

because "breesus'" was sooooo much better during his first two nfl seasons LMAO!

If only Drew Brees didn't develop into the QB he is today...laugh.gif

I swear that is the dumbest argument anyone could bring up, but but but Mattiocre had a better first two seasons than Breesus!!!

what?...how is that even relevant. You should know better Boss.

No one team win the turnover battle year after year and everyone knows that. Especially scoring on turnovers. Do not hate nola, just hope GW finds another creative way to help that 25th ranked defense!

that help is called "ELITE OFFENSE"!

You know it must burn you up to have a "BETTER" Def and not even make the playoffs!!!

Maybe instead of yards you should look at red zone def, QB efficency, ETC.
