Stepdaddy
The Seattle Times' Danny O'Neil isn't buying speculation that T.J. Houshmandzadeh will be a roster casualty this weekend.Tuesday's Josh Wilson trade was a sign that the new regime is willing to sacrifice the present for the future. Housh is clearly not a viable No. 1 receiver, and he's holding up the progress of Deon Butler and Golden Tate. It's hard to picture Seattle cutting him, though, with his $7 million salary guaranteed for 2010.What would you guys think about bringing in TJ? I highly doubt the seahawks release him, but it sounds like he is available and if he isnt then they will probably release Deion Branch. I'm not so sure that Branch is much of an upgrade over Jenkins but would certainly be better than Finn if healthy. Also Dallas seems to be shopping Sam Hurd. Any of these interest you guys, or are there any others available? Edited September 2, 2010 by Stepdaddy
LouDog
Ill take Finn over Branch any day of the week. And im not to high on Whosyomama anymore
sporkdevil
Nope. I would be surprised if he gets cut, but he has shown he is willing to be that big mouth headache that no one noticed because his old teammate was Ocho. He is too old for us to sign him, and I really couldn't believe what the Hawks gave him last year.

The Falcon Jedi
I would take TJ in a heartbeat. You would have to be crazy not to. He was actually the Bengals #1 WR in yards all those years. Ocho Cinco just got all the media attention, but TJ was really the #1 guy there. What has happened to him in Seattle is a product of the system Seattle runs. Photofalcon
I doubt Seattle releases TJ, but if that were to happen, I would say heck yeah to the Falcons signing him!
lostnmexico
I am all for TJ in the ATL. He is also a very good blocker! He would put fannies in the seats and scorch the GA Dome turf! Bump fo housyodaddy!
The Falcon Jedi
TJ hoozyomomma was the best WR the Bengals had for many years. Seattle has mis-used him. He would thrive in this offense, with a Real QB throwing the ball to him. If he is available - GRAB HIM. Pay him whatever, but get him. The guy is money when the ball is thrown his way. He runs great routes and can separate. You have to get a guy like him if he becomes available. He is still young and has a few years left in him.Realize how much he thrived when Carson Palmer was his QB. Notice what happens when you have a crap QB in Seattle tossing the ball.TJ would be awesome here with Ryan as his QB. Roddy and TJ would be a devastating combo. The Falcon Jedi
What actually hurt TJ the most was that IDIOT Offensive Coordinator named Greg Knapp. And TJ stated as much in an article. Knapp runs an offense that doesnt feature any 1 WR. Knapp wanted the ball spread around evenly. He did that after the TO debacle in San Francisco. That was the deal before TJ came to Seattle. Any fool somewhat aware of their system knew that they have never had a true #1, and they weren't going to have it with Housh. bossFALCON™
Nope. I would be surprised if he gets cut, but he has shown he is willing to be that big mouth headache that no one noticed because his old teammate was Ocho. He is too old for us to sign him, and I really couldn't believe what the Hawks gave him last year.yup. i used to think housh was a team player 2 years ago but he's a *****. need some proof?-According to ESPN's Mike Sando, T.J. Houshmandzadeh's body language in camp has "occasionally suggest(ed) a disconnect."Sando's story is positive on Houshmandzadeh, but there is underlying negativity. It sounds like he's lost some first-team reps to rookie Golden Tate, and Housh was seen "sulking" after a pass went to Deion Branch instead of him earlier this week. With new coach Pete Carroll stressing competition at every position, Housh is not assured of remaining an every-down wideout.-Two team sources tell Yahoo's Jason Cole that T.J. Houshmandzadeh was a bigger diva than Chad Ochocinco by the 2008 season."Nothing can be as bad as T.J.," one of the sources said. "He thought he was the star by then. He forgot how he had got here." Housh excelled as a possession receiver in Cincy, but a big part of that success was Ochocinco drawing coverage on the outside. Housh has already demonstrated several diva-like moments in Seattle, and proven to be a poor fit as a No. 1 receiver.-Seahawks WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh said he plans on asking for the ball even more this year.T.J. also expressed disappointment regarding the lack of competition during team practices in 2009, and the veteran WR seemingly wants to play a bigger role in 2010. Said Housh, "I just felt like I was less involved in the offense last year than I was in Cincinnati, and in Cincinnati, we had more weapons. That was baffling to me." there's a reason why cincy kept chad when he was whining and wanted out, but let housh go. they knew the REAL houshmandzadeh, not the guy the media portrayed him to be. the "good guy" of the cincy duo. they also knew he wasn't a #1 and wasn't worth the $$$. the bengals made the right move.it would only be a matter of time before he's bitching and moaning about us running too much or that roddy/TG are getting too many balls. The Falcon Jedi
He is a WR. He wants the ball. He needs the ball thrown to him to be successful. And when the ball is ever thrown to him - HE CATCHES IT!Who cares if he is a Diva? What WR is not a Diva? That's why they do what they do - they want the football, they need it thrown to him, and I dont recall ever seeing TJ drop the ball when it was tossed to him.Fact is, the guy catches footballs and does it well. That is all that matters on Sundays.
The Falcon Jedi
Our 1st String offense has scored a total of 7 points in 3 games this pre-season.There is a problem. We have no good #2 WR. We have a #1 that drops the occasional easy TD pass.TJ is not a bad guy. He is not a trouble-maker. He doesnt get into off-field trouble. He has sure hands. He runs great routes. If a guy like that is available, YOU GET HIM.

The Falcon Jedi
Say what you want, but TO would have been a great #2 WR here. One thing TO has always done is find the end-zone, and SCORE TDs. He is money in the red-zone. We could have rented him for 1 season - THIS SEASON that everyone expects us to go to the SB, and he would have helped.I dont like all that guy's antics, but that guy is gold when he is near the endzone and a football is thrown at him. He scores 6 points every time. You have to realize that every NFL player isnt a choir boy. There are attitudes ON EVERY TEAM - EVEN OURS. And I dont recall ever reading about TO being arrested for drunk driving, or smoking weed, or whatever. The guy shows up on Sundays and he plays Football.TJ is a frustrated WR who is in a bad system for him. But he is a sure-handed WR when he has a good QB throwing the football. He is not a locker-room cancer, or an off-field problem. He is just a WR who wants the football. That is his job, and he is good at that job. Peyton
I'd take TJ or Branch over Jenkins at number 2 receiver all day. Bringing either guy in for a 1 year deal couldn't possibly hurt. Edited September 2, 2010 by Peyton
Durrty
We're not going after any WRs. Period. Finneran will hold it down until Jenkins comes back. As far as depth goes, I believe Bergeron makes the squad, then of course we have Weems. Going out and signing a player like Houshmandzadeh isn't Smitty's philosophy. He'd rather bring a guy in who's already familiar with the system and can contribute instantly.

iDash
Well, U can add USC Mike Williams going 8 for 149 yards in 3 games too,Plus , Mike already knows the USC offense! He will be a sleeper in fantasy.TJ would be a great addition, Hasselback was hurt and they couldnt get TJ the Ball,I aint going to lie TJ suxed in Fantasy last year, but he broke out one game,TJ went 9 for 165 at 18.3 vs arizona, plus one other game over a 100 with a Crappy QB.Whens the last time our number 2, Jenkins did that?NEVER
LADBABY
T.J. made a money move to Seattle but it costhim what was left of his career. Now we would only need him if Jenkins was out for any extendedperiod of time. His skill set is comparable toBergeron but without as much speed. Troy just needs a chance. He is not proven at this levelbut he is not unproven either. If T.J. had come here instead of Seattle it wouldhave been nice but now I think his best days aregone. Plus, he is not going anywhere. Rumors.
dyoshot
I don't think he will be released, nor do I believe the Falcons will sign him, but I would definitely be happy if he was here. I think he would be comfortable with his role here as a #2. I know he didn't have great numbers in Seattle, but several guys on offense didn't. For example, John Carlson was a stud his rookie year, almost non-existant in 2009. I think he would be fine here.
