ScreechingD
Off the top of my head, right scheme + right playerCoryell/FoutsWalsh/MontannaPayton/BreesMartz/WarnerI believe Peyton & Marino would have been successful regardless of scheme. ScreechingD
I'm not happy with right off the top of your head. What about Aikman/Johnson, Belichick/Brady? Your posted two pairing that won one SB and none to two HCs that won 3 each!SBs define success in the NFL but I was really thinking successful offensive ingenuity and its application (Belichick/Brady/Moss in 07 were scary so I definitely missed that one).I think Johnson/Aikman and Parcells/Simmms would have been individually successful out of their pairs.I don't intend to belittle the accomplishments of the coach or the QB individually, but which pairings "made" each other?I don't believe Coryell or Peyton would have their success without Fouts or Brees. Same for Martz & Warner. Is Joe, JOE, without Walsh? Would Shanahan have rings without Elway?I think Johnson/Aikman and Parcells/Simmms would have been individually successful out of their pairs. bradael
I think Holmgren & Favre has to be up there.

Tom Servo
If Payton and Brees get another bowl together, I'll say they're right up there with Belichick and Brady. But no one tops Bill Walsh and Joe Montana
