A friend sent the story on Facebook and I said wait... is that the same Nick Turner that was a pretty d@mn good RB and KR man for MSU?? I remember he got dismissed from the team and later was charged with murder in Dekalb County, GA a few years ago.LinkRivals profile from 2001. 4 star RB. Ranked no.7 in the nation.--------------------------------------Story from 2008Nick Turner, who played tailback and was a record-setting return specialist for the Mississippi State football team in 2002-03, was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder in DeKalb County, Ga.Turner, 24, is alleged to have facilitated a drug deal that went bad and cost the life of Dermonde Broadus, according to J.T. Ware, a public information officer with the DeKalb police. Ware said Turner is cooperating with the investigation.Turner signed with Mississippi State in 2002 out of Atlanta but was dismissed in February of 2004.Turner was a Parade All-American out of Washington High School, considered one of the top prep running backs in the nation. His freshman season in 2002 was cut short by injury and then an arrest. He was suspended for the final five games by then coach Jackie Sherrill after he was charged with passing five counterfeit $100 bills at a Starkville nightclub.Turner received three years probation and rejoined the team for the 2003 season. BMF Posted August 31, 2010 Share Posted August 31, 2010 He scored 3 TD's on us on our Home Coming night. The score was 53 - 0 at half time. They did the Mercy clock on us in the 4th Qtr. From the look of it, he was still dealing with the wrong crowd. Sad to see it go down like this... but you are what you surround your self with. Xnex Posted August 31, 2010 Share Posted August 31, 2010 I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the report of him being dead are bogus. I think he's trying to run and hide from something and is tryig to make his family and everyone else believe that he's dead. I know that may sound insensitive, and I don't mean for it to.
