I think the Falcons have a better team - especially w/ Big Ben being out. Having said that, Steelers are tough to beat at home and the ball will bounce their way, get hometown officiating, etc.

It will be a very close game. Probably "pick'em" or Falcons "-1"

I think they might be overreacting to the preseason game. Steelers at home is gonna be tough...PERIOD!

I'm hoping that Leftwich won the starting job by default last night (didn't see the game but I heard Dixon was not good). Dixon is still a much more dangerous QB behind that O-line to break some for some big gains with his feet. The statue that is Leftwich is not outrunning anybody and he fires everything at one speed and over guys heads, and hopefully into our DBs waiting arms.

Exactly. It's sad, but I can picture Dixon coming out and KILLING us with his feet. Once he does that, that will open up their passing attack. That is not a position we need to be put in.

We need to come up swinging, knock him around, and KILL his confidence early. I hate to say it, but I want to do what the Saints D did against Favre in the championship game. He came out battered and bruised.

(Assuming Dixon starts)

The NFL loves the Steelers. I'm not making a built in excuse in case we lose, just stating facts. Refs have come out from both of their Superbowl victories and basically said, "Look, we screwed up calls in that game and kind of handed the Steelers the trophy."

Playing them at home in week 1 worries me for that very reason. If everything goes down the middle with the refs, we should win by a touchdown if we can get 3 and outs and keep their defense on the field.

Spoon is the answer to this. I don't see a running QB or TE doing what they have to us in the past.
