Something IS kinda missing from this SB run.Are we missing a WR, or a better Kicker? Or is it just me.We have been getting off to slow starts these first 3 preseassons. Yes yes, its ONLY preseason but at some point we must give that a break. We dont want to have the uh oh face come regular season.I am a preperation guy and I want to have all pieces of the puzzle come week 1.Anyone else think we should add one more A+ player? or am I just punking out on the O. SWIFT HITTER Posted August 29, 2010 Share Posted August 29, 2010 we will be fine our fundamentals are fine ..Hand the ball to Turner hand it to him again and let him carry the team and let our QB manage each possession and keep his turn overs down and then pick up some key third downs..we dont need Ryan to be great all we need is for him to keep the turn overs down make smart reads and keep TOP on our side..unless Matt Ryan has a real bad year and the oline allows 40+ sacks and Turner gets hurt I really dont see this team not being a playoff team Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No, but I do know what you mean, it does seem that way. But superbowl teams usually figure it out during the season. We have a long way to go. I watch a lot of pro football- most of the preseason games this year (NFL Network), and all of the ones with what are considered a "high powered offenses"Our offense under Mularkey appears to be drawn up on a napkin at a Burger King the night before. We have little precision. It is of a little comfort that the local team here has struggled with Romo and the 'Boys with similar looks.We look hurried and frantic and reactionary. On top of that has Mularkey changed and will he actually react and change when the conditions of the game changes from quarter to quarter in 2010? Then there's Snelling....He's the best back we have....Maybe one of the rookies will step up.C'mon you have a short memory Snelling is good but he isn't the best back we got even with injury last year Turner went for something just shy of 900 yards and with him having 5 games out he probably would have been good for 1200 plus yard season.I don't get the 1 dimensional bit about Turner he can run over and around people I don't get that comment. Matty needs to throw but he needs to game manage more than anything. You pound the ball down the field, is really demoralizing to the other team. I wouldn't want Mularkey to show his hand on our plays, play vanilla all day long. I remember last year, I think it was the Bills during the hall of fame game, they did this fake punt or kick I forget, but it was really cool, the way they did it and scored a TD, but the stupid part about it, they did it in "pre-season" and everybody saw it. I'm down with that, as long as it's working. Do it til they stop it. But at some point, you have to take advantage of the other team's adjustments, and air it out. Too many people on this board keep saying that every thing will be fine, it is only preseason. Preseason in an indicator of the regular season. (would love to see some screen passes with our nasty lineman leading the way). And I really think we will disect opposing defenses this year & stretch the field like we haven't seen a Falcon team do in years. Or maybe I'm dreaming...... I believe our next draft we will get some luxury picks and add some greasy fast speed to the offense and return game.Don't get me wrong I think we have a GREAT TEAM but we have focused on making the defense fast and furious. Even though we are smashmouth they will probably add some speed to the offense unless Jerious returns to 2006 form.I also think Weems is very underrated but a Josh Cribbs like returner would be something to behold.Kicking though should be our main focus.
