RedandBlack4Life!
Dude was playing good baseball since after his debut so why do we sent him down for Kimbrel? We sent Minor to the Gulf Coast League since their season ends today I think, so he wouldn't have to wait 10 days to come back up. Yeah, so no worries, Minor will be starting Tuesday's game for us. We just sent him down for Kimbrel so we could have an extra bullpen arm in the meantime. They're just giving him an extra 5 days of rest in between starts.
Unknøwn
Yeah no worries Minor likely never even left Atlanta it was just a strategic move to add a bullpen arm for a few days Minor will start Tuesday for the Braves
Hatch
They should of sent down Hanson so he can recoup and refocus.
ATLBrave
They should of sent down Hanson so he can recoup and refocus.Considering we made this move before Hanson's start, and that Tommy had pitched real well before this last start...it wasn't an option. But you and I both know that the Braves should have known Tommy would have a game like last night where he just served up batting practice. The Braves are suppose to know these things before they happen.
ATLBrave
Yes. I'm almost surprised no one busted out the Hanson bashing last night. He sucked giant **** last night, but he just seemed to not have a **** thing working. Also hard to believe that the HR to Maybin was his first allowed in over 40 innings. He struggled against the Cubs. That happens. Last night was just one of the them rare game a pitcher has every now and then when everything they throw up there is a beach ball waiting to be smacked. He seems to fall in love with his fastball and then lacks the location on it.

He seems to fall in love with his fastball and then lacks the location on it.Location, location, location. That's Hanson's biggest problem. When he doesn't have control of his fastball he's very, very hittable because he doesn't have a curve or slider that he can consistently throw for strikes. He has to have command and control of his fastball to be successful. That goes for most pitchers but especially Hanson.A seasoned vet like Hudson can go to a different pitch as his primary pitch if his sinker isn't working. Hanson doesn't have that yet. But given more time he'll soon get that and these types of games should become more rare.
ugadawg
Location is a huge key for any pitcher. It is more of a necessity if you do not have a solid #2 pitch that you can throw in any count. I have been quietly critical of his throwing motion for a while. He stays to upright for me making his motion more of a slinger. I wished he got his chest out over his front leg more like Huddy. Granted not everyone throws the same it is just a personal preference of mine. Please understand I know he has more talent in his right arm then I have in my entire body this is not a bash it is IMO
