falconmaniac
I may be late on this as i have not been in front of my computer since yesterday afternoon. On the ride home (yesterday) I heard the end of a conversation on "Moving the Chains" and Tim and Pat were talking about Norwood being traded.I have no idea as to who he would be traded, if it was for picks or another player. They were just finishing up the conversation with a caller when i got in the car.I tried to call in to get the scoop but getting through on their show is impossible (unless you are poppa falcon)!Did anyone hear it? If so please share what they were talking about. Edited August 27, 2010 by falconmaniac

LFKJayhawker
I don't think he's been traded, it would be all over the boards about either Positive things about the trade or Negative. I think they were probably talking about the possibility of trading him. I dunno I'm just making an assumption.-Rock Chalk!
Cheesemonaut
They were talking to a Rams fan, but I think it was just speculation. The Rams fan was asking about who they could get to compliment Jackson and the guys on Moving the Chains were just speculating that Norwood could do well in St. Louis and could be possible trade bait since "Snelling's emergence last year gives Atlanta a lot of depth at running back". He may well be trade bait.I was hoping that it was a Sand Diego fan and they were speculating on a package for VJ.
LADBABY
The best possible scenario for the Falcons is thatNorwood stays healthy and plays well.. & for the Falcons.
NewFalcon
I think the Falcons still believe that Jerious can be a productive offensive weapon; however, he must demonstrate that he can stay healthy and available to play in every game, at any opportunity where he is needed--something he has not yet done with any consistency. My hope is that he does well tonight and throughout the regular season--and into the post season!
Optimus*Crimes
The best possible scenario for the Falcons is thatNorwood stays healthy and plays well.. & for the Falcons.I would love nothing more than to see Norood stay healthy...Other things I would love...1. To be a billionaire2. To beat the cast of "jersey shore" with a sock filled with bars of soap.3. To make Katy Perry Mrs. Katy Perry-Doster4. To watch Mrs. Katy Perry-Doster get busy with Vida GuerraAs you can see, the list of things that I would love to see happen, probably won't happen. IMO, Norwood is on his way out... phattywankenobi
I didn't catch that yesterday but as much as I like the various hosts on NFL Sirius for their knowledge of the game especially Gil Brandt I don't think they will be the source to "leak" info. If it hasn't been tweet/posted on the internet then they were probably talking in speculative terms and not something they heard.
CraigSmackDaddy
I just don't see us getting anything more than a 4th for him as far as picks go. With that being said I'd rather keep him. Even if we could get a 3rd I don't know that I'd like that too much. The guy is a playmaker when healthy... I just want him to stay injury free and give us what we all know he can do. blackredfellow
Why is everyone so down on J-Rock? He has been banged up one season out of four in the NFL. It was a bad year for a lot of Falcons.I think he will come back strong for us this year. I'll start calling him injury-prone if he can't stay healthy this year, but until then, im not down on him, and im glad he is a FALCON. Tampa Bay Falcon
Norwood better have a great game tonight, I don't want to see him get cut because our RB depth is competitive, so he better show something tonight!
JayOzOne
The best possible scenario for the Falcons is thatNorwood stays healthy and plays well.. & for the Falcons.People forget that until last season, he averaged nearly 6 YPC. That was insane. If we can get more than 4.5 out of Turner and 5.5 out of healthy Norwood (obviously in a limited role) then we will be forcing our will on other teams like two years ago.Of course, this is obvious... A caller asked what kind of RB his team needed and Tim only said something like "Norwood in Atlanta would be a good choice if ever they would accept a trade for him". That was it. Purely hypothetical............what if sort of thing. There IS no trade. Rumor or otherwise.

Last year may be the first season he's spent a lot of time actually out, but he's spent a LOT of time being less than 100%, and having his game play suffer noticeably from that. gritzblitz
I haven't heard or seen anything regarding Norwood being traded. My guess is that is was pure speculation. Norwood is our only pure speed back so I'm not sure we wold want to trade him. Also, he has been injured and not playing, his trade value would be at its lowest....
