Yep, do you think there fan base is completely flipping out over them being 0-3 and giving up 59 points last night? I'm sure given the Colts success over the last decade they realize pre season records means squat. hopefully our fan base will e mature enough to come to that conclusion eventually.

No...because they marched the ball up and down the field...they weren't predictable (see the next play after Addai's first long run, they called a 20 yrd pass play for a TD in less than a min... -_-

So you are saying reguardless of the points in preseason game, the colts are still able to march ball down the field which is going to transitation in the season right. And you have a point because the proof is the pudding the colts don't struggle as much in the season. So even though it's the preseason, according to what you're saying, the falcons have to show some form of flashes that they're going to be successful in the regular season. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No one is trying to compare the Colts and the Falcons, just making a demostrative statement, because the Chicken Little's here at AFMB would have you believe that we should start trading talent for picks since our season is in disarray. This also speaks to thread Old Man 70 posted the other day about how the super bowl winners usually win their preseason games.

I heard a stat on 680 this morning that in the past 5 years the colts are 65-15 for their season w/l record but are only 4-18 in the preseason in that span. I'd rather lose EVERY preseason game and look terrible, than to come out and win all 4 preseason games, proclaim ourselves world beaters, only to go 0-16 like the Lions a couple year's back...if we can begin a run of success like that.

Not to mention the Colts have what...12 consecutive 12+ win seasons.

Yall better quit blowin off preseason. Don't forget, after the lockout in 2011 we're probably going to the 18 game format. That means two of those games will mean something.

It's a fact that most Super Bowl Champs do not lose in the preseason. They establish a winning attitude early. Their starters come out and take care of business and their depth takes over and brings it home.

Yes there are anomalies like IND that lost in preseason, as well as teams like DET who went 4-0 and finished 0-16, but most Super Bowl Champs do not lose in the preseason.

BAL, NE, DAL, CIN, PIT, GB and SF have already established that winning attitude and appear to be primed for a run. We need to do the same tonight. We definitely don't need to lay another egg.
