Curran
Just curious as to everyone's opinion about which is the best site to pay for Premium Information if you were going to invest your money in just one site:(1) Rivals(2) Scout(3) ESPN (I can hear everyone laughing thru their computers )(4) 247Sports (know it is a new site but seems to be pretty good)(5) Other1a)Scout1b)RivalsIMO Scout has better content, but Rivals has better message boards (The Vault, The Vent)But you can also pick up a lot of useful information from sites just like this one on falconslife. I stumbled upon it one day and have found that some of the most reliable information comes from this message board, for free. There are a couple other boards like this one that tend to have some decent information from time to time as well, you just have to find them.I imagine that I will try out 247sports once it gets fully implemented as well. I have been hearing great things about 247 and from what I can tell, the site looks clean and the message boards look like they will be a real plus. Content might be the only question there as they try to market themselves to high school recruits and make those connections necessary to get top information first. WTA
IMO paying for recruiting info in this day and age is a complete waste of money... There's enough people out there who give the info for free and with twitter, etc. any breaking news that the pay sites used to have a couple hours before the free sites is now reduced to a matter of minutes...Now of course my opinion is mainly due to my experience with UK sites/info, so I'm not sure how other universities are... kentuckysportsradio.com is a free site that is just as good, if not much better in many aspects, as alot of the "premium" UK sites out there... I have been on it for a few days and I like what I have seen so far...thanks for your input WTA and Curran.
Nicolae
I love the 247 layout, just remains to be seen how much content there will be. I doubt it will be an issue though with Rusty there. For the rankings and all that, Scout is worlds beyond Rivals right now. They are not good this year. For instance, Rivals still has Jay Rome as the #3 TE all the way down at #44 overall in the Top 100. Horrible, and thats just one example.I do agree on the Scout board's layout, though. I hate it. tjb
Scout has Karlos Williams as the number 7 safety....are you kidding me? I know, that's way too high... :P Just kiddin..Both sites have their pros/cons, but I've always thought that Scout gives out way too many 5*'s each year (well, unless they are UGA recruits, then I agree that they are accurate... )Honestly, I feel like I get info from here and other free sites to justify not having one.. Also rusty mansell is covering uga and he is terrific. based on what i have been told 247 will do a much better job in states not named california, texas, and florida. it seems rivals ignores or doesn't cover a number of states such as mississippi. their fans are going crazy due to the crap rankings from rivals and for good reason. they will also do a better job than rivals when it comes to ranking georgia players. rival's rankings this year is just crap.. maybe the worst they have done since i have been following rivals. as much as i dislike espn they have done a much better job with the instate talent in georgia than rivals has. scout does a terrific job imo of ranking overall, but i do as others do and take all 3 for a composite (now 4). i will be buying membership to 247 to support rusty and his site. CrimsonKat
I like Rivals for Alabama recruiting. If you are considering content, it is as much about the writers as anything. All of the recruiting rankings have their flaws so I went with the site whose writers seemed to give the best and most consistent information. If you are a Georgia fan, I am sure some of the other posters can tell you how UGA's Rivals, Scout, and other sites' writers are.

Billy Ocean
Check out this comment thread:http://georgia.247sports.com/Board/Topic/19/6629When asked, "How many recruits is UGA looking to sign this year?", Rusty says, "IMO 6-8 more with the 15 current commits."What’s up w/ that? I always heard that we're taking 25-28 this year. If there was ever a year to take near the max, it’s this year.

TyroneDawg
I love my Rivals subscription although the recruiting board has been a bit stale lately. Not Kips fault just not alot of people posting about recruiting. I am really enjoying 247 so far. There are not many posters over there yet so pretty much every question you have gets answered right away. The interface is cool looking thus far as well. Honestly lay out is important to me, that was the deciding factor when I chose Rivals over scout for my first subscription. TyroneDawg
And by the way... you can find subscriptions to ESPN the magazine for as little as 2 bucks for a year online every once in a while. I bought a three year subscription for 2 dollars a year and the cool thing is it comes with a free subscription to insider. I am a big baseball fan as well so Insider is definitely worth having for such a ridiculous price.

kingjamez
Depends which team you're a fan of. UGASports is better than DawgPost but for some teams their scout team site is better than the rivals team site.
