LVfalconfan
First off as always a lot of our fans overreact, There are some concerns but we have made a lot of improvements.Matt Ryan has really impressed me with some of the throws he has made and being really careful with the ball. I think he is going to continue to lead this team and do great things.Turners hard work in the offseason is showing. He's consistently gotten yards and will be a cornerstone of this team for another season. I like that we have been working on getting him some passes, but he isn't as effective with the ball because he does not have time to get speed going when he gets the ball and thats how he runs people over. Norwood is perfect for this, but he needs to move the ball effectively because Defenses worry about turners running abilities and dont expect him to get catch the ball out of the backfield. I do like that we are getting running backs some nice 5 yard check downs.Roddy is Roddy and will be a great receiver dont let pre season stats fool you, only playing a few drives makes it hard for the offense to find a rhythm. I would like to see Jenkins or Douglas step up and give the defenses something else to think about, although Turner and Gonzo do this really well.Offensive Line will continue to improve, If baker stays healthy I think he will take a leap and be a great LT.Our Kicker needs to be addressed, Elame killed us last year and Im not sure Bryant is the clutch guy for us.Offense as a whole impressed me the way they moved the ball, Dont sweat the red zone troubles offense experiments and does not game plan like regular season.Sean Spoon is still a rookie, Dont stick a fork in spoon yet Mike smith will turn him into a great linebacker.Bierman.....What doe they feed that guy. Him Abe Jerry Babs are gonna get a good defensive line. I like what I have seen from defense besides a few plays from the patriots game. If we get healthy and Moore and be a playmaker for us our defense will no longer be the cause of a loss.Meir is a sad loss he had a lot of potential, but Wolfe should be a solid 5th receiver.Thats all for the night, Stay positive I think this is a good solid team that will make some noise in the play offs and maybe just maybe have a magic Super Bowl Season. Rise up!
gritzblitz
Agree. The first string has not looked bad. The offense needs to get into the end zone verses settling on FG attempts. Defense needs to stop the opposition from converting on 3rd and long. ST-kickers need to make the FGs.Starting O-line has not given up a sack which is good. I'd heard Hawley was getting beat in camp but I like his tenacity in the game...will fit in with this group. Disappointed that Reynolds seem to be utilized more as a versatile back-up rather than competing for starting RT spot. D-line looks a lot better with JA98 inside at DT and Biermann at the end position. We are much deeper this year than last year.Minor point, I don't think Wolfe will be 5th receiver in Meier's absence. More than likely it will be Weems. (Roddy, Jenks, HD, Finn and Weems is my guess) If Jenks misses a game or any other wideout due to injury, Bergeron has best shot at that spot ( 1 year in system) B Harvey amy be next in line. As Snelling proved last year when he got playing time maybe Weems or another young WR will shine. I'm sure HD will do fine. Wolfe really hasn't made many plays on the field to say he is going to be 5th WR. I hope we keep him on practice squad though. kiwifalcon
From what I saw in the highlights package we get here I like how Ryan is stepping up in the pocket and making some good throws even when pressured he was still hitting his guy I think he's in for a big year.Red Zone I'm not to worried as long as TG doesn't get hurt we'll be alright. The defense will come I think we have the personal to get the job done I mean i look at last year and I'm thinking surely we can't be any worse in 3rd and long than we were last year so I'm very confident we will see better production from our defense come the regular season. The Falcon Jedi
I liked our Offense - until we crossed the 50 yard line.I liked our DE play - esp. Bierman. I did NOT like our interior D-Line play. I liked our Safety play, and our CB play. But the Interior of this Defense was horrible. Where was Curtis Lofton? How could we let old man Fred Taylor run like that on us?Turner was Ok. Nothing special. Antone Smith needs to just go. He was horrible. Matt Bryant... that one miss was just awful. I dont trust him.We got a real bad call with that roughing the kicker. That play changed the entire game.

Everybody wants the rookies to light up the world(me included)but the fact is they have a long way to go. Your line up is very realistic. I don't expect Jenkins to miss any time but if he did Bergeron would be the guy to move up. I don't get it, everybody talks about him getting cut but all that happened was he got moved to the roster. Every time one of our main receivers got hurt, Troy moved up. Six times. Troy Bergeron is the #1 practice squad receiver.
kiwifalcon
I saw that play where Fred Taylor got outside i think DeCoud was the guy that was about to put an end to that play but Babs blew him up just before he was going to make the tackle on Taylor. I expect Wolfe to be a nice pick up for us in the future, I followed UNLV and he was the offense and had great hands.
alphaville
I saw that play where Fred Taylor got outside i think DeCoud was the guy that was about to put an end to that play but Babs blew him up just before he was going to make the tackle on Taylor.Babs blew up DeCoud just after he hit Taylor and didn't wrap up. DeCoud hit Taylor, bounced off and got wiped out by Babs. Franks failed to keep outside containment and Taylor bounced to the outside. If DeCoud wraps up or Owens is in the game, that play goes for four yards.
