TO is tearing it up, but no the Falcons filter didn't even give him a shot.

I am a TD backer he has done wonderful things for the Falcons. He goofed on WR.

I'll take Dez Bryant all daylong over Spoon, we need play makers.

Good Lord we are actually missing MJ at WR.

Sorry for the rant...

HD stats? What has he ever done? Promise and a kiss...OK

It works both ways here, what hasnt he done to show that hes not good?

HD comes into this year basically like a Rookie, he had a pretty good rookie year and missed year 2, but there is a reason everyone, and i mean EVERYONE (see last nights game) says that he is going to be a HUGE role in our passing game.

As for TO how many teams lined up to look at him? Hes not as good as he used to be and its only the preseason. The Bengals werent exactly stacked at WR (which is the reason they have about 10 WR's on the team right now) and they looked at TO to see if he would fit.

TO as our #2 versus whom?

What's all the Negs. for I'm one of the biggest Falcons fan. I'm not some troll, I have been on this board for years, played and whipped most of you guys in FFB. I was simply stating we are missing MJ...How great of a WR core do we actually have.?

Dez Bryant over Sean Weatherspoon is not exactly smart when your team's defense is comparable to the bottom half of the teams in the NFL... Especially, when we already have a Pro-Bowlers and HoFers playing at our #1 and #2 recievers and runningback position.

I certaintly would not have been upset with Dez Bryant, but I think the obvious choice is to take the best defensive player available in the draft when your team can't contend with playoff teams, because of the lack of effectiveness on defense.

As for T.O., he probably would have been an upgrade over Jenkins.. but by how much? When you have Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez, and Michael Turner along with a promising slot-reciever returning with Harry Douglas exactly how many opportunities do you foresee any other player getting? Jenkins may not be the best WR, but he's certainly not the worst.

DE had to be addressed more than LB and it wasn't. If you're not going to address DE, why not take a WR with amazing talent? Solid LB couldve been drafted in the 3rd.

So your telling me Ocho and TO will not open up the running game for the Bengals?

I don't see how DE HAD to be addressed, we had a young DE last year get 5 sacks, despite not starting at all last year. A lot of people seem to be pretty excited about him too. Besides the lack of the pass rush last year can easily be attributed to the lack of solid coverage. And our other LB's are just piss-poor in that department. No offense to Lofton, but as of right now, he's just a tackling machine.

Don why on earth would we draft a DE who wouldn't see much of the field with Kroy, Sid, and Abraham? We are good at DE until next year when we should look for 55s replacement.

Even if you said something that was really awful, or that truly p*ssed me off.... I'm just not sure I could neg you as long as you're sportin' that avvy. :P

That said, I still think given the circumstances, and w/out the benefit of a crystal ball, it was the right decision to pass on T.O. Will be interesting to see what Palmer does w/him this year. That dude is one inconsistent QB, to me. But I don't get to watch that team play too much, so just going off what I've seen.

i was on the DE train leading up to the draft but now when i look back at it we needed a WLB more. that's one of the most important positions in our c2/tampa 2 scheme. if you look at all the good C2/tampa 2, they had good WLB.

in indys superbowl year it was cato june, for the bucs it was brooks, for the panthers it's beason/thomas davis, for the bears it's lance briggs.

you have to have an impact WLB in our scheme and it's painfully obvious brooking and peterson are NOT that guy. hopefully spoon will be.
