PuntPuntPass
As worried as everyone is about the secondary, I'm more concerned with the DLine. Our team, especially both Oline and Dline, have a tendency to disappear against the upper echelon teams. I am not expecting us to dominate inthe trenches tonight but I want them to affect and have an impact on the game. Brady was waaaaaaaaay too comfortable last year in the pocket. If we want to let the NFL know we're superbowl contenders, we need to start showing up against these kind of teams. Was the performance against KC just a fluke or are these guys some real headbusters?TIME TO RISE UP FALCONS!!! To opposing teams: TIME TO RAISE UP FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!! metatron360
first this is a test not an actual game that counts. the d-line preformed well and reports are they are dominant against the pats o-line. i want to see 3 and outs thats where we need to shine. turnovers are part of the game but dominant defense makes offense's GO SIT DOWN. MagnusXXIII
I think D'line is actually a strength of this team.Between...- the Bierbury, - Abe, - 295lb JA98 w/rabies, - Peria, - Babs, - Peters, - Davis, - Walker, - and Lewis...our biggest issue will be who to cut. Often times the top teams show us how far away we are. I want to see if we've somehow closed that gap. The saints flashed improvement last preseason and it carried over. I'm not implying we should be following the saints footsteps but even in a "meaningless" preseason game there is still meaning in some capacity. They often get manhandled against them.

With that kind of depth, having 5-7 legitimate starter-quality players, as well as guys that would be key backups at WORST for any team in the league, he doesn't want to run any D-linemen more than 35-40 snaps a game to keep everybody fresh through the fourth quarter for all 16 regular season games.I think it's a great strategy. Keeping guys like Abraham and Babs fresh all year long will be a nightmare for beat up offensive linemen during the later part of the season. Probably TJ.
