sdogg
Solid pickup for us and for almost nothing(well at least none of our top prospects).
dvt5045
thats a little more then I thought we give up with Lopez and Harris.
Threepac Daddy
Lee will join the braves in Chicago on Friday, he'll wear #27.
K26dp
Yeah, Lopez is a legit prospect. Good job by the Cubs for dumping the salary and picking up some value for down the road.Braves marginally improve now. Hopefully Lee's back will hold up and he'll ignite down the stretch. KRUNKuno
great f'ing deal. we had to make some sort of move with Chipper gone.Lee puts adds a much need change to our line-up. He's still a very solid hitter, and somebody that can give pitchers fits. We're getting him at the right time too. His bat is really popping right now. Ransack
I would have liked to have kept Harris... he was really moving up the ladder quickly. But in the long run he's just a reliever and there's not a ton of value there.
RedandBlack4Life!
From @Braves: Troy Glaus will go on the DL with a sore left knee. He will re-join the team when the roster expands in September.Good move there. I figured we would do that so Glaus could rest up.
K26dp
Just Twittered by DoB:Glaus is going on the DL. Will go to Gwinnett on a rehab after a week off and work out at third base. Can play both 1st and 3rd in Sept.Kudos to Glaus for accepting this and agreeing to becoming a role player. A refreshed Glaus in September could win some games for this team.HOWEVER: I have suspicion that this will mean no September call-up for Freeman. I don't know if the Braves would want to start Freeman's service time clock and guarantee that he'll have Super Two status if he makes the team out of spring training. No way Infante or Prado are benched in favor of Glaus playing 3B.
RedandBlack4Life!
I still doubt he will. No way Infante or Prado are benched in favor of Glaus playing 3B.I don't think that would happen necessarily, but there could be a game every so often where Glaus plays 3rd, Prado plays 2nd, and Infante plays LF. We'll just have to see how Glaus does during his recovery/rehab sessions.
RedandBlack4Life!
Lee will join the braves in Chicago on Friday, he'll wear #27.hmmm, wasn't that McGriff's number as a Brave?...interesting.

sdogg
I'm hoping that the time off will help Glaus get his knees strong enough to provide us with great flexibility down the stretch and in the playoffs. If he can play half as good as he did in May & Lee play like he has been lately, we will be awesome.
The_ATL
I still doubt he will. No way Infante or Prado are benched in favor of Glaus playing 3B.I believe that it would be more like Glaus at 3rd, Prado at 2nd and Omar in LF.

Joremarid
Lee will join the braves in Chicago on Friday, he'll wear #27.hopefully it has the same effect the last time we picked up a 1B wearing #27.although i thought Wren said that lee will play 3rd. if so, where do we put infante? CF? LF?
