Dem Birds
He'll do. Better than Elam.
AF89
Definatly feel more comfertable with Bryant attempting a game winning feild goal than I do with Hauschka. Though I don't think either is the long term solution we're looking for.
Falconsfan567
Matt Bryant isn't as bad as people think. His career made percentage is higher than Elam's. He's had some top notch years in the NFL and has a really strong leg as evident by the 62-yard field goal he made against the Eagles in 2006.He's made 81.5% of his field goals. Last year he was 7/10 with us but 1 of those misses was blocked and another was a miss from over 50 yards against the Jets in horrible conditions. In 2008 he made 32 of 38 field goals good for 84.2%In 2007 he made 28 of 33 field goals good for 84.8%In 2006 he made 17 of 22 field goals good for 77.3%In 2005 he made 21 of 25 field goals good for 84.0%
The Falcon Jedi
I think most of us are just "Satisfied", content.
nobkowski
not satisfied, but not all that unhappy either; just think we should have tried out a couple of more kickers
nativefalcon
He'll do. Better than Elam. Not going to say that, Elam in his best was pretty dang good. But we haven't seen Bryant a lot and I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Really depends on these next games. Robb4242
I didn't read the full poll. I'm satisfied, I think Bryant will be fine and do a good job.
Falcons 'til Death
I'm somewhat satisfied with Bryant. He was a somewhat good kicker with the Bucs. But if he doesn't pan out this year I think the FO should seriously consider taking a kicker with one of those 7th rounders next year. It's been forever since we took one in the draft and might be off taking one. mcsupersport
-1 for not knowing how to spell his name correctly. If you are going to make a big deal about a player, try to get his name right.Personally, I think he will win us more games than he costs us, so I am satisfied. It is hard to tell who actually would be better, considering Elam, who was money one year stank last year. Personally I would like a kicker who can be money under 45 yards, and have an offense that makes sure he never has to kick that far anyway. Statick
I'm fine with Bryant. The guy's a good kicker. Besides, I'm sick of the carousel of kickers. At least he can concentrate on making kicks without having to worry about losing his job.
kibitzer
Voted satisfied. But I still feel like we're in the same position we've been in for a while when it comes to FGs. Gotta get the ball w/in 45 to have any consistency. I could be wrong, and he could surprise, and I hope that's the case. Actually, scratch that... I just hope he only has to kick PATs for TDs. :P
Guest Don Q
We need to stop this disturbing trend of old free agent kickers and draft a kicking stud who is linked to this franchise for the next decade.

MattIceRyanMVP2
As long as he suits up in the black and red we have to support him. I have always had a heavy heart for Bryant ever since his child died. I still feel really bad for Matt and his entire family every time I hear his name. I can't even imagine the pain he's endured, It shows a lot about what type of person he really is having to go through all that, but still push through and play football. He seems like great guy with a big heart, I will always be a fan of Matt Bryant. I wish him and his family all the best.
Guest Don Q
That position is as much of a crapshoot as QB or any other position, though.Agreed, but we haven't really tried to find a permanent solution to that position. All we have brought in are temporary band aids.
Turner2endZone
I'm preaty sure his name is Matt Bryant, but that is besides the fact. Anyways, the guy came to us last year basically half way though the season and made 7 out of 10 with his long at 51 yards. I mean that's o.k. but ****, we need better than that. If we are looking to win then we have got to make field goals and extra points. I hope he has gotten better.
Andre5000
I think he's a pretty darn good kicker

Falconcheff
I picked satisfied, because from what I saw, he had good rotation on his balls both kicks. He made the easy one, but remember he took the second fifty-yarder, which may have taken him a little out of rythmn, and he pushed it. But he still hit it the necessary yards.'I think he'll kick well, in the upper 87% range.
Capitalist
When he costs us a game or a playoff spot, will you still be satisfied?
NewFalcon
I voted that I'm satisfied; however, anyone who is not satisfied should answer this question: Who is the alternative to Matt Bryant, and why do you think you are a better evaluator of kickers than the Falcons staff? Yes, Bryant did miss that 50+ yd kick against the Chiefs, but he had plenty of distance--he just pushed the ball wide. It's not like there are dozens of 'stud' place kickers walking around, just waiting for the Falcons to come calling. Its not like TD and Smitty are going to use a first or second round pick to draft the 'kicker of tomorrow'. My bet is that they have already auditioned and/or looked at tons of film on the available kickers and believe that Bryant is the best experienced guy available.
