Rivals too release updated top 250

unconquered.

Confirmed it will be Tuesday for the 100 most likely Thursday for 250

There will be 2 extra 5 stars. Let the guessing begin.

I think Driskel has a shot to be one after many great camp showing and winning the Elite 11 MVP.

Karlos Williams should be a 5* as well after his performance at Gridiron Kings, aswell as his impressive combines.

One thing I think we can all be sure of: This list will be garbage. They always are. Maybe Georgia will have 18 4 stars now, instead of 16? Hahaha. Just a big joke.

you know it's a big joke when they come out and say that they are giving our less 4 stars.. why? because they want a lower number. barry every stated uga had over 30 4 stars instate this year. he was overruled however.. lol

Its Rivals, so that is probably a safe bet. They LOVE good camp performances, seem to be the #1 factor in their rankings.

The best you can ever really do is get a combination between the Rivlas,Scout and ESPN rankings and you get an idea of whos who.

Exactly, I have seen a couple of really good composite lists. AV does a pretty good ranking and tharinger isn't too bad either. As good as Rivals is right now, at least.

To be fair every coach thats seen him in real games said hes a big time talent. His drawback is that he plays at a HS that only 2 years old and they're team is dreadful.

Oh I am well aware that he is by far the best player on his team and I think his camp performances bear that out. I also think he is a 5 star talent, but I would like to see him do a little more on the field before handing him that crown. He may well deserve that 5th star, I just don't like the weight that ESPN and Rivals seem to put on camps.

Anyway, I will be shocked if your prediction of him as one of the new five stars doesn't happen. As for the second...we have Drew, Crowell, Westerman, A. Green, Anthony, Clinton-Dix, ASJ, Rome, Pagan, D. Grant. Probably a couple that are a real stretch for a fifth star, but I've heard plenty good about them and again...this is Rivals.

Composite listings are decent, I suppose. I used to try to really look at offers, but with so many powerschools throwing out tons of conditional offers, that really isn't effective anymore either. "Look, he's got an offer from UF, Bama, and LSU...as long as their top 30 targets at his position don't commit first, that is.

Add in Tuitt. Sounds like he's challenging Drew for the top player in the state.

If we are being honest, Crowell is clearly the top player in the state, by a decent margin.

the top 2 players in the state of georgia this year are drew and crowell.. it's a toss up with either one. The top 5 players in the state of georgia are in this order: drew #1, Crowell #2, jay rome #3, Damian Swann #4, and tuitt #5.

Post spring instate list

i agree on the offer list.. that is one of the biggest things to look at, but the reality is many of those offers as you said aren't committable offers or their offers that had that were committable at one time are no longer even out there. You have a guy like brian randolph for instance get an offer from uga 5 months ago at safety. uga gets their two top targets at safety right away so that offer no longer exists. it still shows up, but he no longer has an offer. you have a guy like say johnny farms who's offer sheet looks great, but in reality he could only call up 4 teams and commit because he burned his bridges. composite listings are really the best way to go when comparing the 3 sites and their rankings because there is no way they can see all these kids and some sites put more emphasis on camps over performance on the field which is idiotic.. i don't care what you do at camps if you don't perform on the field with live bullets.

He could be. Rome is all the way down at 40 in the last rankings though and Tuitt is at #59 (). I just don't see Rivals jumping a player that far, even if they were wrong in the first ranking. Even jumping Rome from 40 is a stretch probably. They have him as the 3rd best TE, lol.

FWIW, the five stars start at #11, which makes for 13 in the new rankings. Too few, IMO. Again, would have to be a huge jump for Rome, Tuitt and a couple other guys I mentioned. Even Driskell might not be as sure as I thought, he was #31. Rivals is too concerned with the total number of five stars and not concerned enough with whether the guy actually deserves it or not.

Tuitt tore it up at the FBU camp and they said he will be moving up.
