10:33 am The pass defense has come up with two pass breakups and an interception against the Falcons in the last 10 minutes.

10:26 am QB David Garrard is struggling to find a rhythm in an offense that's moving rather slowly on the field.

9:59 am After a closer look, DT Tyson Alualu is not wearing shoulder pads.

9:58 am Another fight broke out between both teams. The intensity is picking up as both teams are going hard.

9:54 am Rookie DT Tyson Alualu is watching drills and does not have a helmet on his head, in his hands or anywhere near him. He was practicing earlier, so it's unclear if he's limited or just taking a break.

9:48 am RT Eben Britton, who isn't practicing because of his lingering calf injury, just had a bag of ice taped to his right calf.

9:35 am Jaguars CB William Middleton, a former Falcon, is already setting a feisty tone by knocking down Falcons RB Antone Smith. This play almost blew up into a scuffle but was broken up quickly.

8:56 am The Jaguars and the Falcons have opened their combined practice with special teams work and warmups.

10:39 am WR Kerry Meier came down with yet another tough catch this morning in practice. He's improved and progressed each day through training camp.

I was reading on i think jay adams' twitter(there's a link on the falcons home page) meier's catch was a diving fingertips catch he made in 7 on 7

Dont worry about the first thing. Its training camp. I think you take more chances in scrimmages

oh i know, i'm no-where near doom and gloom. I just like for us to dominate and humiliate other teams every chance we get. Even though it's scrimmage with no real contact and vanilla offenses etc... i still want ryan and company to humiliate the jags

not good when Middleton, a castoff very small corner, is tossing around Antoine Smith

people need to temper their exitement a bit for that guy

Middleton is 5'11" 193 lbs, which is not small. I agree with bighurt that if we could have gotten him back we would have. I think he has a lot of potential.

ATl list Smith at 5'9" 190lbs

Jags list Middleton at 5'11" 193 (that's bigger than most Falcon CBs)

I do not think that Middleton was cast off by the Falcons.

They were trying to yo yo him between the active squad and the PS and the Jags a

grabbed him on a yo!

Who was our QB for those 10 minutes? I'm not worried either way, but just curious, as it seems he would mention if it was all one QB.

All in all, it sounds like their offense, not ours, had the trouble all day.

I am more mad about how we haven't had that many videos of training camp. I want to see 7-7 drills with Ryan

11:09 am Coach Mike Smith said LB Mike Peterson will miss "the next couple of days" with calf inflammation. Smith added the team kept Peterson inside to prevent swelling from being outside in the heat.

11:08 am With WR Michael Jenkins missing the next 4-to-6 weeks, coach Mike Smith said WRs Harry Douglas, Eric Weems and Brian Finneran should receive more reps. He also said Finneran and Weems will see a lot of plays against Kansas City this Friday.

11:04 am Coach Mike Smith said WR Michael Jenkins' shoulder injury was not a dislocation or separation, and that it will not require surgery.

11:03 am Coach Mike Smith on the morning's combined practice: "It was really good for our players and coaches to work against a team with different colored jerseys and different colored helmets.

You could not be more wrong about Willy Mid. That guy will be a player in this league for years to come. His ball skills and tenacity are off the charts. I'm actually still mad we let him go.

Yes I did not remember it right

the Falcons cut him on 5 Sep 09,

he went to another team (BUCS???) for a week but did not make it.

The Falcons signed him to the PS on 14 Sep 09 and the

Jags signed him from the Falcon PS to their active squad on 21 Sep 09
