sporkdevil
FalcFans.com did a little write up on Grimes that is pretty solid, even if I don't necessarily agree with all of it. Here's a few excerpts, but I don't want to post the entire thing and take away any web traffic they would otherwise get.I started things off with a report on Curtis Lofton, but now I want to move onto another defender: cornerback Brent Grimes, the small but scrappy undrafted free agent from a Division II school that has developed into a key contributor and potential starter.[Pros/Cons/Outlook can be seen here]In Summary… Grimes isn’t likely to get a whole lot better this season. While Falcons coaches will be working on the secondary’s fundamentals and technique, Grimes was one of the few among the group last year that wasn’t really lacking in that area. Obviously, he has some room to grow but not a whole lot in that area. Not to mention the six interceptions he recorded last season in what amounts to a breakout campaign. The key for Grimes instead is maintaining his level of play more than anything. And with his toughness and intangibles that shouldn’t be too hard to do.I think Grimes still has room to grow. Not height-wise or anything, but with some more play time can improve. He's not the perfect corner, but he did something that we really need out of the secondary, which is get turn overs. At the very worst he should be our starting nickleback.

millenium falcon
dont know about yall, but i refuse to refer to another man as "sugar nips"..maybe that is how he introduces himself. maybe he would consider it an insult if you did'nt, did you ever think about that? i for one am of the train of thought that when you meet someone and they introduce themselves, you use their name three times right then and there so you remember it. if sugar nips likes to be called sugar nips, then sugar nips it is. sugar nips. skn
I hate to be negative about the Falcons, but I still feel Grimes is a liability on the field.

sporkdevil
That's a cool site, Spork. Not sure I remember hearing about it before. Thanks for the post!I follow them on twitter, and they usually have some good stuff. Personally, I love scouting reports of current players. If it belongs to anyone on the board, this would be a good time to do some pandering.
