Now, for the commentary:

Offense is really coming together but Jenkins dropped 2 balls.

Some standouts other than our normal stars - Meier, Moore, JPW, Wire, Nance, Antone Smith, Harvey, Peters

I had a great time - nice crowd there. Ryan and Ovie were signing long after the autograph session was over. Ryan then went over and was hanging out with a bunch of the high school football team - talking to them - laughing - etc. That was really cool to see and you know those guys won't forget it. He also threw his wrist band out to some fans earlier.

The Good - both sides played very well - it was fun to see them in a "game" mode! Over 12000 fans were there. Watching Roddy and Ryan standing on the sidelines joking with each other and practicing some wierd dance moves together and laughing together - that was awesome to see - love that chemistry between them!

The Bad - There was a Aints fan who came in sat on the first row of the bleachers I was on and smoked a Cigar holding it down to hide it then bringing the stinking nasty thing up to puff on it every minute or so. It stank and so did his outfit. I went down to find security to rat him out - couldn't stand his fleur disrespecting behind in front of us - and was told by several event people that there weren't any. I finally found an officer over on the field - asked if he was security - told him about it - he asked if he could see it from down there - I said I didn't know but told him exactly where he was sitting and what he was wearing. He nor any other security ever came up or did anything. Disgusting!

The Ugly - After the game was over - Ovie came over to sign autographs and someone had a picture of him which was not good (I didn't personally look at it - just heard the guy talking about it being a pic of Ovie in his undies or something like that). Ovie was really upset and left the area to sign somewhere else - the guys kept yelling stuff at him - and I know they did it in fun - but it really upset him. He looked like he was trying to let it go - but finally he came over and told them that he didn't appreciate it at all and felt they were disrespecting him. He was very upset you could tell although he was not rude to them at all - but the picture must have been bad. Glad I didn't see it.

Overall, it was a good night. Hope you enjoy the pics.

I am becoming more and more impressed with him. Of course, this is just practice situations - but he seems really sharp - can't wait to see him in preseason games.

Thanks for the pics, Tandy! Too bad that loser NO fan had to kind of mess it up for you! Why the heck would a Saints fan show up at a Falcons practice anyway?? What a ahole! Wish you could have found a security guard to kick his butt out. Oh well, we'll get the last laugh when we beat their butts this season!!!

Bummer to hear about Jenks, but maybe Meier will get a chance. A lot of times that's the way new stars are born! Here's hoping we have a new star in Meier!!!

GO FALCONS!!!

3. things

1. I'm glad Peters is looking good... He will make allot of ppl feel stupid for calling him a reach.

2. I read that the NFL Network was there... I wonder when they will show that.

3. I am starting to think i was very wrong about Kerry Meier... I liked the pick but i thought he was just a slot 3rd or 4th WR at best... Its to early to say he will take Jenkins starting position but Jenkins better watch out... The kid is looking good.

I had the lawyer letter in my pocket the Ovies lawyer sent me. I wanted him to sign it. I never saw him, but I really don't know how he would have took it. I love him as a player. I don't care if he's gay or not. It doesn't make a lick of difference.

Anyway, I couldn't count 12,000 people. I don't know where that number came from.

I got 6 autographs. One of which was Bierman. I asked how many sacks he willhave this year. He said he is going for double digits.

On a sad note. The cheerleaders looked out of shape. I was hoping to see the bucs cheerleaders out the because they are ten times hotter.

I enjoyed the game. Met a few folks. Got some free stuff. Saw the rainbow (good sign?)

I think if we can keep our kicker on target we will win the close ones. We lost too many games last year because of that. I thanked Koenen for staying healthy. He just smiled.

It was a good time.

Jenkins got injured.

He looked shook up - maybe his arm or shoulder after he got up - but I'm not sure if it was serious or not. He looked okay later. I guess we'll hear about it soon.

Good Commentary Tandy. Get Back to GA dome and they escort all those jerks out of the arena. THat cra-p that Ovie, I wondered if that was gong to pop up again.

Yeah, whatever that pic was ticked him off. I think he handled it well - but you could tell he wasn't happy about it at all.

As for that jerk - he should have been escorted out. Number one - smoking a cigar in a crowded group like that on school grounds - number two - offending my eyes with that crap he was wearing.

>>> that was disrespectful, to many extremes. None the least of which is wearing a Saints jersey? And cigars are nasty to smell.

Meier is a new version of Finneran. Dimitroff really found a gem in the sand with this pick. Trust me, Meier is the real deal. He is going to surprise a lot of people.

He is looking sharp. He's a great addition to this team regardless of the spot he ends up capturing. He's a smart kid and on the ball out there (no pun intended!)

Kerry Meier seem to be one of those quicer then fast type guys...

link

The guy ran a 4.6 (combine) and a 4.5 (proday) 40 but ran a 6.68 3 cone..... I remember TD saying that fast 3 cones show that you can put your foot in the dirt and go...

Didn't Tebow run a 6.66? I can't remember if that was the best but I believe it was last year. If so Meier was right there with him.

It's the immeasurables you cant measure at the Combine in a football player that separates the great ones from the rest.

Jerry Rice. One of the slowest WRs ever. Not very tall. Not very fast. But he just inducted into the HOF. Why. How. How did a WR of his physical abilities ever become maybe the BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER ever. ?

?

Immeasurable attributes.

Things like Heart, Determination, Focus, Dedication, Desire.... things that they dont have a Scale or a Measuring Stick for.

Wes Welker. Look at him. If you saw him out at a bar or the mall, you wouldnt look twice at that guy. But that little man has turned himself into one of the best WRs of this decade. The Patriots folded like a house of cards last season when he got injured. And the Patriots had the great Randy Moss. Go figure.

There is something special about Meier. I feel it. I know it. He has that "It" factor you want in a WR, and a football player in general.
