So the NCAA cleared Thomas, who is still the head coach at Florida International University, to be a consultant for the Knicks, where his job will include "recruitment of players"...

So a head college basketball coach has a paying side gig with an NBA team...

And the NCAA is allowing it...

Does this make any sense to anyone else? I mean Thomas has the full right to tell an incoming freshman, "Yeah, I know your ultimate goal is to get to the NBA. Well I happen to work for an NBA team, and they have a lottery pick pretty much every year. Wanna be the next Knick?"

I mean the NCAA hasn't made much sense in alot of their decisions in the past, but this one takes the cake...

Thoughts?
