Zodiac
Wow..... This is not good news at all Prado is the one consistent playmaker we have. Not good news at all he's also been belting a lot of balls lately.
K26dp
It's at times like this that make me glad we have Omar Infante. No, he's not as good as Prado, but I'm not worried that he can't hold the position competently for a week or two.Hopefully Conrad will be able to get a start or two as well. dvt5045
this sucks but at least nothing is broken and I have full confidence that Infante/Conrad will fill in nicely until he is healed up.

dmite
7-10 days, but he has to be put on the 15 day DL, so he'll be out at least 2 weeks.
mookie3127
7-10 days, but he has to be put on the 15 day DL, so he'll be out at least 2 weeks.not necessarily. in one of the articles, it says that Bobby will wait until tomorrow or monday before making a decision on a DL stint for Prado. if he responds well today and tomorrow, he may just be out 7-10 days and ride the pine. if he doesn't respond well, then he'll likely go on the DL and that would concern me the most and hint that it could be more severe than just a fracture. ATL Fan in the DMV
^This is true, but fully expect him to be placed on the DL unless they really wanna play with a man short for what will essentially be, with Cox's let's-wait-an-extra-day-after-you-are-cleared-fit-to-play, two weeks anyway. Last night, Bobby used his whole bench, even the sick Gonzalez, so he needs that extra body. The reason I think he is waiting is because they're going home after tomorrow and they can get someone from Gwinnett then. Also, there are no days off for nearly 2 weeks, he really needs that extra body.
Falconsfan567
I think the Braves would be foolish to rush him back. Prado uses his hands more to hit than anyone else on the team. It's why he is such a great hitter. You don't want to rush him back and then have him change is approach. Give him the proper rest to make sure he is ready for the stretch run. Omar and Conrad can handle 2nd for a couple of weeks.
RedandBlack4Life!
Update on Prado via Rotowire.com:The Braves will wait until Monday to make a decision on whether to place Prado on the 15-day DL due to a broken right pinkie finger, the team's official web site reports. Prado is expected to miss at least a week with the injury, but it sounds like the Braves may decide to put him on the DL to give him a full two weeks of rest.
