Roddy White visits Augusta; Gives back to the community

Recommended Posts

Roddy White spent a couple of days in the Augusta area visiting and raising money for one of his favorite charities: Choices: A Lifetime Development. Here's the story:

Good read durrdbyrd! Good to see some good news about Roddy. I was growing kinda tired of people trying to link him to incident last week. +1

I had considered asking him about that, but the interview was going so well that I didn't want to blindside him. Plus, it wouldn't have jived with the type of story I was there to write.

Yeah, something tells me that it was very smart of you not to bring it up. Very rare to get good positive interviews anymore.

he should really get his priorities straight, I see him spending a lil time with Vick has totally affected his life choices. LOL, I'm sorry... I couldn't resist!

I wish I had known. I play at the River Club, it's like 10 mins from my house!

Really cool to see that Roddy called my hometown is "adopted hometown", pretty neat

Seems like Roddy is living up to the Falcons Character by participating in Charities throughout his time off. I like it

Good job dude. Was this your first interview of a Falcon/NFL player.

Thanks. I spoke to a few Falcons about a week ago when they visited Fort Gordon. Curtis Lofton, Coy Wire and a few others were there. Those are the only Falcons. I've spoken to some other NFL guys here and there when they've stopped by the area.

I was told that he actually lived over by North Augusta High School one time. Don't know how true that is. I knew he was from Augusta though.

+1 on Troy first album very slepted on!

I use to do a little dirty down GA Southern during my college years (Playas Ball when it was hype) that and Savannah St had people there.

Yeah Playas Ball fell off bad after 99, I got there in 98 and it was off the chain. The Po-Pos shut us down all the way down starting at the Exit off I-16. I went so Savannah ST once but my friends car got broken into because she would holla at one of the dudes, those folks crazy in the SAV.
