1:49 pm One surprise in the Falcons minicamp and OTAs was the performance of undrafted free-agent WR Brandyn Harvey. It may be a different story when the pads come on, but Harvey's shown a ton of potential thus far.

1:47 pm Three things the Falcons learned in minicamp and OTAs: 1) WR Roddy White looks like he may take the next step to being an elite receiver. 2) The defense has greatley improved. 3) The offensive playbook will be more open in year three of offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey's system.

1:45 pm Falcons RB Michael Turner alluded often during training camp to being in better shape. At "90 percent" healthy after suffering his sprained ankle last year, Turner looked to be at full speed during offseason workouts. He could be in for a big year.

1:42 pm Coming out of OTAs, the Falcons are relatively healthy. Not counting the three players out after having knee surgery – CB Brian Williams, WR Harry Douglas and DT Peria Jerry – CB Brent Grimes (hamstring) and WR Kerry Meier (hamstring) were the only Falcons banged up the last week of OTAs.
