Dallas Cowboys FS Akwasi Owusu-Ansah (shoulder) likely will not compete with Alan Ball for the starting free safety during training camp because he miss all of the team's offseason workouts while recovering from shoulder surgery.

Considering his measureables, its a bit surprising to hear that the plan is to use Owusu-Ansah at free safety but that speaks to the depth of the Dallas Cowboys, who plan to figure into the Super Bowl equation. The small school talent could have a similar career to that as Malcolm Jenkins with his versatility, eventually there will be a need for another quality corner and down the line, Owusu-Ansah could get the call.
