Do you think we'll be better this year or next?

Recommended Posts

Assuming Tony retires after this season, and we dont make any big free agent acquisitions next offseason, do you think we will be better this year or next season?

I think pros for next season will be better team chemistry, more experience for key younger players like kroy, decoud, harry, sean.

Cons could be losing tony, some others to free agency like jerious, grimes, snelling, tyson, dahl, peterson. guys aging like mcclure, abe.

I think with a average to above average draft, and a few mid free agent signings, we will only be better next year, and the year after that, and maybe after that.

Eventually we're going to get to a point when we don't sign any FA's and get our reinforcements through the draft. It's going to get to the point when we may have to cut a good player in order to put an upgrade on the roster.

On Tony G, I think we'd draft his replacement when the time comes if Peek or Peele doesn't take the position outright.

I think we'll be better this year. Last season vaguely feels like the 1997 season being that we finished strong and took that momentum into the next year.

As long as we keep our key players healthy and get more agressive on defense, this season is going to be freakin' sweet.

If there is a NFL GOD please let there be a 2011 season!

I think there will be, especially with this economy.

Why would they (owners and players) take a chance on losing out on all of that potential cash by not coming up with a compromise of some sort?

I agree. McKay said there's smart people on both sides working to get this done. I just don't see them hammering something out until crunch time.

These things always seems to get done at the 11th hour
