Shiney_McShine
To me, the biggest thing is losing the Oklahoma game....Even though it was every two years, the history of those two teams.......I feel kind of sad.

freakyfalcon
I'm happy for Nebraska. Texas and Oklahoma has pretty much spit in the face of the Big Red and the other schools. If you want a happy conference, you need to spread the love evenly.
Falconsken
Im an ohio state fan and i couldnt be happier. It gets really old that people say big ten doesnt have enough competion well i think were goign to get alot more if mizzou and nebraska come. And i think ohio state can still go the distance. The big 12 defense worries me but no way can they stop ours. Well Here we go... Kinda upset all the teams are going to the pac-
SacFalcFan
this is a big move for colorado.. they aren't forced to pay their way out now (they have very little money) and they are one team the pac-10 does want.. i still don't know if this happens with the big 12 joining the pac-10.. Carter
The Big XII is still just fine with who they have even if Nebraska, Mizzou, and Colorado leave.I very seriously doubt Texas has any interest in joining the Pac-10. Dominos are falling now but the Big XII remains relevant with Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M as their big schools. And of course they remain relevant basketball-wise as well with Kansas and Kansas State also in the mix there. They may have to do tweek the divisional breakdown, but I still think the Big XII can keep from being poached. Colorado is the only team in my estimation that has mutual interest and benefit in joining the Pac-10. Texas and Oklahoma gain nothing by making that move.If the Big Ten adds Nebraska, Mizzou, and Pitt... I think that would be great additions and monumentally build the conferences credibility back up. Of course none of it matters in the long run if they don't add a championship game... which the Big Ten has openly stated already they are not interested in doing. great white hope
And still no championship game. to me it seems like adding a ton of teams to build conference credibility and then not having a championship game defeats the purpose. A) you can still end up with weak schedule playing the 7 weakest schools in the conference and then never be challenged by the other contenders. a 16 team conference is huge...why stop there...why not 24, 40..etc... at some point you're like a independent team playing a soft schedule and claiming you should be #1 because there are other good teams in the league and you have the best record...??? if you're only doing it for money a championship game oughta bring some good cash in
freakyfalcon
And still no championship game. Carter where are you hearing that? I keep hearing they are trying to get a championship game setup at the Colts' Lucas Oil Stadium. If what you stated is true, then it wouldnt surprise me with the Big 10. They took forever to implement a conference basketball tournament at the end of the regular season.
SacFalcFan
if nebraska had stayed the big 12 was going to boot missouri.. lol they ticked off the whole conference.

Zook even says the SEC only added a championship game because of money! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5199145There have been rumors and of course a lot of talk about adding a championship game, but Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany has said that a championship game is not a priority nor a driving force in conference expansion. Quite simply, they are expanding so that the Big Ten Network can cut a bigger check to each school. Any talk of a championship game has been centered on whether or not it is FINANCIALLY necessary.
