Hatch
I never got that, How can the Braves be ahead of phillies 2.5 games back instead of just 3 games? Somebody please explain this crap to me.
ATLBrave
Because one of the teams has played one more game than the other. Say a team is 26-20, while another team is 26-19. They both have the same amount of wins, but you can't count that as a full game because the team with less losses than the other has also played less games. I have to tell a story about good 'ol Skip and myself. Several years ago some folks from the Braves hired me to do a caricature of Skip for a t-shirt. If you beat Skip with some type of trivia question or something you got one of these t-shirts with Skip on it. The announcers started talking about it during a Braves game. They did a split-screen thing where they showed Skip on one side and the t-shirt caricature on the other. Skip said on air that he really liked it.Big thrill for me 'cause I always loved Skip and was a fan.I'll try and find my shirt and post a scan of it in the nest couple of days..... R.C. Collins
The Braves have played one more total game than the Phillies.
Unknøwn
And with the Phillies off tomorrow it would jump to 2 more games played so should the Braves win the lead goes to 3 games if they lose it falls to an even

It's a **** shame that I've had to listen to the last year and half of Braves baseball without Skip in the booth. Best announcer to ever live, bar none. Seriously.I HAAATTTTEEE the F'in wave!Me and my chick never take part in that disgrace. If you like the wave you should be a 13 year old girl...that is the only time it is acceptable. It always amazes me that people want to get the wave going at the expense of paying any attention to the game on the field. Falconsfan567
I'm all for showing emotion and having fun but I can't stand the wave. I hate sitting down and then jumping up and then sitting down and then jumping up. I came to watch a baseball game. Not to do arobics. Falcons 'til Death
Also, if a team plays while another team has an off day the team playing can only gain a half of a game if they win. They can also lose 1/2 game if they were to lose that game.
CrimsonFalcon
The wave should only be done at football games. Not baseball. There's too many things going on with the pitcher and batter to mess with their concentration.
edZep
1 game = 1/2 game
