Tandy
Here are his stats for the 1st 5 games - the last 5 games and the 4 in the middle:1st 5Record: 4-1/80%, 101 of 156 for 64.7%, 1162 yds, 9 TD, 4 Int, Rating 95.6 (+1 rush TD)MID 4 Record: 1-3/25%, 77 of 142 for 54.2%, 846 yds, 5 TD, 8 Int, Rating 60.4LAST 5 Record: 4-1/80%, 85 of 153 for 55.6%, 908 yds, 8 TD, 2 Int, Rating 85.1The point is - he started the season strong with an average of 1.8 Td and .8 Int per game and ended the season strong with an average of 1.6 Td and .4 Int per game.During the ugliest stretch of our season - he had an average of 1.3 Td and 2 Int per game.Overall - he showed great improvement at the end of the year.So all you guys who harp over and over and over again that he has to stop throwing so many interceptions - looks like he did to me. He finished the season with a 4-1 TD to Int record after that period of having .625-1 TD to Int.He had a rough stretch - that's all - let's see how this season plays out.I'd say his completion percentage was roughest - and I would bet that's what he's working on. Gotta give him a bit of a pass on those last 5 considering that he was playing with his plant foot injured and without his main RB - so it may have been improved as well.By the way - anyone who is interested - I have the breakdowns for 1/2 1/2 - first 10 last 6, Home-Away, etc.
FalconFanSince1970
Tandy good analysis as usual. I believe the MID4 drop off was due to the schedule he faced.
Tandy
Tandy good analysis as usual. I believe the MID4 drop off was due to the schedule he faced. It was definitely rough. I think the up side of this analysis is that it shows that he has the potential to come out even stronger this year with this schedule and healthy players. Tandy
Tandy... That is top notch info...Thanks... Those 4 middle games were rough....Thanks. The roughest period we have this year is the Tampa - Carolina then Seahawks.I think we've got a lot to look forward to this year.

"FHWEEEW" Hear that sigh of relief? It's all in perspective from viewing your breakdown and considering that hellish schedule last year. With an all around deeper and more talented team I think we can all feel more optimistic about this year.
Power I
Matt Ryan is definitely on my fantasy radar. Third round sounds like a steal to me.
jes2400
It's also worth noting during that rough middle stretch is when we suffered a lot of our injuries.
Big Zee
No doubt he had a rough stretch during middle of the season but I don't doubt Ryan one bit. He's a good quarterback that will be great sooner than later.
Peyton
I thought Matt Ryan had a mediocre year last year, but I don't blame Matt Ryan at all. The Falcons simply didn't even try to throw the ball downfield enough to keep teams honest. That might have been on Mike Mularkey, or maybe Ryan got a little tentative to throw the deep ball, which would be understandable from a 2nd year QB. Either way, I have tons of confidence in Matt Ryan to review the film from last year and figure out where he could have done better. I think the guy has the work ethic of a champion and one day soon will be a champion.Oh, and the injury to Douglas hurt him a lot, as did the fact that Mularkey never calls screen passes.
