atljbo
RapidReportsTuesday, May 25, 20102:54 pm During minicamp, the Falcons secondary looked light years different than the unit that practiced together last season. CB Dunta Robinson's signing addressed the need, but can they keep the momentum rolling?2:53 pm DE/DT Jamaal Anderson didn't play much DE during minicamp while DEs Kroy Biermann, and Lawrence Sidbury performed well. Coach Mike Smith said Anderson will play DT in sub packages, but Anderson didn't show well there either during minicamp. 2:36 pm One surprise from minicamp was UFA WR Brandyn Harvey of Villanova, who was likened as a raw Marques Colston (former 7th round draft pick) by several media members. He'll be someone to watch during OTAs. 2:35 pm OTAs are a good time to evaluate how certain players will fit in when training camp rolls around. That makes this an important time for rookie LB Sean Weatherspoon, who must prove he can play more than just on third downs. 2:34 pm The Falcons began OTAs today, with today's session closed to the media. bossFALCON™
i was thinking something similar about harvey, but didn't want to say anything. i really want to see what the guy can do in preseason. from a physical standpoint he'd be a perfect compliment to roddy (6'5, solid hands, good at getting yac and going up for the ball)
CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
JA98 Sheesh its pretty much a done deal for you!
phattywankenobi
I hate to say it but the d-backs typically look good every year without the pads in a vanilla D. As for Jamaal, I don't know how anyone can assess his value until they start hitting. I would think he could still be out Johnson or Walker though but we'll see. It's a shame he didn't pan out as a top billing DE but maybe there is some value they can squeeze out of him as depth in the DT/DE rotation. Izo#2883
Why not his opinion seems to line up with the majority opinion of JA98.Just because you got enough people believing the same thing, doesnt nessesarily make it true. I would like to know how he performed badly though, moreso than one saying "but Anderson didn't show well there either during minicamp". Thats very loose imo and he mixes up quotes from the past as well.I for one aint buying it. From my personal experience, what the **** can you see when you havent got pads on anyways? If your at the DT position, it sucks to be without pads. Lets wait and see.. at least untill he either makes the team or gets cut :P
phattywankenobi
I agree but I do feel that the DB's will be much better this year!I do too. Grimes and Owens improved down the stretch and Williams was a pretty solid, not great, corner. So I believe the talent has definitely improved. I know BVG was gushing about finally being able to go man since they picked up Dunta.

Jerry Maguire
I think we may very well keep 6 WRs this year. Competition there is outstanding.
