I was just about to post this.

its an interesting thought no doubt

Lowe, Cabrera, and a couple prospects.............

The stros wont take it but **** It would give the braves a great rotation.

With Mccan rounding into form, Glaus hitting well, Nate has been great the last week ( minus tonight), Chipper looks like he is slowly coming around.......the offense is taking shape nicely.

a guy like Oswalt could tip the scales if the division race is close.

I don't think we should. I think Oswalt is a great pitcher, but I guess I'm still a little leary after trades like the one we did for Texiera. The Braves need to protect their prospects, and even though Roy would give us a solid rotation, it's just too much money and other things they would need to give up.

As for him wanting to be traded, I definitely agree with him. To give all these years to a franchise knowing they arent going anywhere anytime soon is tough. He's gotten the lowest run support of anyone in baseball. He just wants to win. I think he deserves that.

Just took a look at Oswalt's numbers... not bad, but he's not really an elite pitcher anymore. He is a little better than Lowe, but I don't see any reason why the Astros would want Lowe's contract.

He is top 10 in nearly every major category that he can control.

I like Lowe but to say Oswalt is only "a little" better is crazy.

Dude is still a number 1 pitcher.

I was looking over the past two seasons, not just this season.
