Isosceles
Starring Jack Lemmon:the film combines all or most of the finer elements of pure film-making.- Impeccable acting- great camera work- real, true-to-life plot- excellent script- some humor (and not forced either)- nice paceamong other things. The film is about alcoholism and the tragic effect it has and can have on people. After watching it (TCM last night) I felt I didn't know HOW in the world Jack Lemmon did not win the Academy Award (he was a nominee for that year). Then I found out he lost out to Gregory Peck (To Kill A Mockingbird). So that explained that. But even so, I think Lemmon was better than Peck was in TKAM.I know I'll get blasted for bringing up this movie that some of you new-age 2010 guys can't relate to. Well go on ahead.Like I said, this is for the few people who can appreciate filmaking as a fine art.Thank you!Joe
