What are the best Falcons games you attended?

Recommended Posts

Falcons Oilers 1990 - Deion closed the game with a pick 6, finally we had something going our way after a terrible past 2-3 years

Falcons 49ers playoff 1998 - what to say about this...exciting...Mathis TD blew up the Dome.

Falcons Panthers 2004 - The game that Vick made the last minute run up the middle.

Falcons Chicago 2008 - When we knew we had something great going on in ATL

I've only been to around 15 games or so but I really had fun at the Saints Falcons game a few years back (The Vick to Crumpler FTW game)

Bears one last year was pretty cool too. (had the whole section rockin)

The Rams game in 2008 may have had the best atmospehre of any game I've been to. (Never been to a playoff game but hopefully I make the next one.)

Falcons-49ers last season.

If only I could have been in San Fran.

I have two buddies who like to talk 49ers stink to me, so I was sure to invite them over for that game, they were unusually quiet and not to mention....they are now not big White fans

Falcons vs Panthers 2008 ... Falcons win 45-27! Turner scores 4 TDs and HD went NUTS that game.

Not to mention, Tandy let me come down to her section before the game and I got Matt Ryans autograph on a Falcons football. What a great day!!

1991 49er's vs. Falcons. The Falcons won the game with a Hail Mary pass from Billy Joe Tolliver to Michael Haynes with 1 second remaining. That was a heck of a game. Didn't get to beat those guys many times. Many people leaving to beat the traffic stopped when Miller completed pass to set up hail mary at midfield. Then Haynes caught the winning TD, the old stadium just erupted.

Only been to two and we lost the first, so it's got to be the Bucs/Falcons game that gave us our back-to-back winning seasons. Both passing TD's in that game were things of beauty, and Snelling was just running wild. The players were pumped by the buses afterward too!

Hoping to get to one or two games this season as well!!

So funny that is the first one you listed, I talk about that game all the time on this board.

It was Glanville's first game as coach and the Falcons first game "Back in Black". The crowd that day was more raucous than any crowd I've ever seen, and by a wide margin. Maybe the only problem was that the crowd and the Falcons were pretty well spent after the incredible energy it expended in the first half, so the Oilers mounted a bit of a comeback in the 2nd half, before Deion's pick iced it.

Also, best day of Aundray Bruce's career.

My only regret is that I was walking out of the stadium in an attempt to beat traffic when Deion iced it.

my first and only game so far was the last home game against the pats when vick was injusred and Schaub shreded their defense in his first start. unfortunatly brady did the same thing to us. will be going to at least one game this year as the 8 hour drive is a little much for me.

I have to agree with your last 3. I didn't attend the Oilers game. I also would like to throw in 2005 MNF at the Dome against the Eagles. That one started with players getting ejected during warmups and the crowd was not much different.

eagles-falcons on monday night!!!

the fight before the game. the long vick pass to jenkins. the absolutely crushing blows that we put on McNabb. and of course the revenge of beating philly after losing in the NFC championship game.

I was at that game. Never sat down the whole time - literally.

I also saw the 11 second pass/FG to beat the Bears.

Good times!

Out of all of the games I've ever been to, the Falcons whooping the Rams 47-17 in the Divisional round of the 04-05 playoffs was the best game I ever attended. I was only 10 rows back in the lower level. I can't even remember what records we broke that day, but Rossum had a field day and our rushing game was ridiculous. It was one long highlight reel from beginning to end. It was especially good because a ton of my coworkers were telling me how we wouldn't be able to stop the Ram's offense and it was going to be ugly. It was ugly alright :-)

I live IN CHICAGO, but of course I love the Falcons. I thought it would be fun to go down and see the Bears play my favorite team for my first game at the Georgia Dome. I went to Soldier Field in 05...and I bought the tickets before the season, so I didn't know how great the season and that game was going to be.

It has gone down as the best decision I have ever made in my life...I saw one of the greatest games in Falcon's Franchise History...beating the team from my hometown...it was simply incredible. Especially when all the Bears' fans got in my face when Orton threw that TD.

Hugging everyone at the Dome after the game, it was surreal. I'll never forget it.
