TE Colin Peek

Recommended Posts

Peek isn't an amazing athlete, but he's a solid athlete and a good pass catcher. He lined up split out wide nearly as much as he was in a three point stance next to the tackle. He wasn't just a safety valve for McElroy, he was the #1 or 2 option on alot of their passing plays.

Sounds like TG. He's not really gifted athletically. He's not running a 4.3, but he has extremely soft hands and he knows how to get open. Extremely sound fundamentally.

I don't know man. Tony played D 1 basketball and football. He is 6'4 and can dunk. Tony was very athletic when he came out.

Seriously, this is the biggest reach comment of the weekend. TG is one of the most athletic TE in NFL history. This is guy athletically might be like Schelfer who was a former Bronco and now is a Lion.

I'm not saying TG was not gifted athletically. Of course he is, all players in the pros are. What I was saying is TD is not a workout warrior type like Vernon Davis. TG is not running a 4.3 but he understands body postioning, how to get open and he's a great route runner. My point is that he relies more on fundamentals in his game than athleticism unlike other TEs in the league.
