Free Bird
How many motives did the Saints have for picking Matt Tennant C Boston College in the 5th at 27? We were sitting at 34. Any thoughts on how this could have impacted our last selections? That said, still think we finished smart.
sporkdevil
Um... zero. We drafted two different guys who can play center before him.

Let's grade this when they line up against us three times a year.
Falconsken
And we beat them 3 times a year too. Im guessing the other 1 is in the play-offs right.

Free Bird
See Matt Tennant thread somewhere below. All your answers are there Tennant did not switch to center until summer camp, yet he still beat out senior Kevin Sheridan for the starting job…Behind the first-year starter’s stellar pass protection, All-American quarterback Matt Ryan set the school season-record with 4,507 aerial yards and the offense generated 5,924 yards in total offense…Behind Tennant’s dominance in the trenches, the team produced 50 offensive touchdowns, as the center was credited with 92 key blocks/knockdowns, twelve touchdown-resulting blocks and four down field blocks to finish with an 82.64% blocking consistency grade…Recorded three games with blocking grades of 90% or higher and also recovered a fumble in the Virginia Tech clash. A mystery moving on:)
stoned_jc7
We had 3 different chances to take the guy, and we passed on him. We took someone who can compete and add depth to both guard and Center. Enough said.
