Andersen Fan 33
I think this pick could mean a number of things:1. The FO is worried that Babineaux could be suspended next year. The D needs to be prepared to compensate.2. Babineaux could be traded. He seems to be having some behavioral issues and the FO may want to trade him to avoid distractions. 3. Jerry is not healthy enough to make an impact next season (at least early on). He is not going to be healthy for training camp, and probably see very little time in the preseason. TD and Smith may be worried that he won't be healthy enough to come back 100% by next season, and even if he does, his durability is suspect. What do you guys think? Hotlanta Steve 14
Even with Babineaux's possible suspension and Jerry's injury history, I don't understand why they felt the need to address the DT position with THIS pick and with THIS player. Beyond the two starters, we have Johnson, Lewis, Walker, and Jamaal to use in our DT rotation. WTF made them think we needed this guy with our 2nd pick?!?
Zanka 83
Babs.. trade.. You trippin'
Dharma Initiative 6,386
I think it does signal something for Babs. This guy is built like him and not meant to be a NT like Jerry. If he shows enough at practice I think we'll be looking for extra picks for Babs. Everyone thinks he is immune but TD isn't afraid to send a message and he's embarrassed about the incident. And I love Babs.
dardan 298
I think Peters was drafted for depth. Babs may get suspended, but I don't think he'll necessarily be traded.
