Robinson contract official!

Recommended Posts

UPDATE:

PFT reports it too:

Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson, a Georgia native who was picked in the 2004 draft one spot before a guy who went to Georgia recently and found himself in a heap of alleged trouble, is going home.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Robinson and the Falcons have agreed to terms on a six-year deal.

Word emerged Thursday night, via Steve Wyche of NFL.com, that Robinson would be targeted by the Falcons. And he was.

Robinson made $9.957 million last year as Houston's franchise player. And his desire for a long-term deal caused him at one point to write the message "pay me rick" on his cleats, a sentiment that Rosenthal, MDS, and I routinely communicate to NBC Sports Digital G.M. Rick Cordella.

woooohoooo!

best corner we had since buchanon.

Don't you mean since DeAngelo? (just kidding)

One thing you can say about the current regime, they are not just sitting on their hands hoping for someone to step it up like the prior regimes.

Robinson and Williams would be a starters. We have good depth with Owens and Grimes right behind them. There be some good competition for the CB roster spot this pre-season. Now with this move the team can focus on the pass rush and depth on the OL.
