sporkdevil
Too rich for our blood, especially considering the player. I'm glad we aren't overpaying for the guy.http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2010/03/sources_peppers_taylor_signing.htmlThe source said that although the Patriots and Eagles have also made offers for Peppers, the deal the Bears are offering is worth more per season and it would be a huge upset if Peppers left Halas Hall, where he is visiting today, without signing what is expected to be a six-year contract with approximately $12-14 million per year with the first three years guaranteed. The source said the Eagles and Pats are offering deals that are closer to $10 million per year.Edit: from Schefter:Adam_SchefterThe Chicago whopper: Julius Peppers' contract in Chicago is expected to pay him roughly $40 million in the deal's first three years.2nd edit: from their beat guy:BradBiggsLarge. As much as $45 mil in 1st 3 years w/ #s decreasing on back side RT @84GONZO @BradBiggs what will peppers contract be? Dem Birds
12 was where I would cut it off, if it's right at 12, solid deal.

nativefalcon
I figured he would want more than haynesworth. Only thing I don't like about Peppers he takes plays off, if you want to be the best, don't be a slouch. Could bite Chicago, like I care. :P Edited March 5, 2010 by nativefalcon
slamee101
I'd have been highly disappointed had we spent that $ on him.
