Where's there's smoke there's fire.... Schefter and guys like that work the phones, b4 reporting things. Hey I'm ok with it, I'm sure TD looked at the film and talked to a lot of people before going ahead with the decision. So now, DE/OLB (pass rusher)looks to be the #1 need.

Robinson on espn rumor central

Dunta might land in Nashville

2:58

PM ETDunta Robinson | Texans | Interested: Buccaneers?, Vikings?, Cardinals?, Ravens?, Jets?, Steelers?, Titans?, Falcons? Top Email The Houston Texans have a fair amount of pending free agents this offseason (16 by last count), and eight of them are unrestricted. One of the most highly-compensated ones is Dunta Robinson, who was franchised for the 2009 season, much to his dismay.

Robinson will be drawing a fair amount of interest given his athleticism and age. We could see the Vikings, Titans, Ravens, Packers and Eagles amongst the teams to take a look, and Don Banks of Sports Illustrated thinks Tennessee might be the best fit. Banks also notes that the Titans have a knack for signing away talent from division rivals.

Would the Bucs be a fit? Our concern is the team's perceived lack of interest in spending on big-name free agents, and stated intention to "build through the draft." But as NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas notes, the team might need an heir to Ronde Barber before too much longer:

Pewter in Dunta's future?

"I think he could succeed in Raheem Morris' defense. The Bucs need another corner to go with Aqib Talib and Ronde Barber, who isn't getting any younger. Robinson makes some sense. We'll see if the Bucs agree and if they're interested in the price tag that comes with him."

Wyche: "All indications" are that Dunta will land in Atlanta

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 4, 2010 7:29 PM ET

Don't expect the best cornerback on the free agent market to stay there for long.

NFL Network's Steve Wyche said Thursday night on NFL Total Access that "All indications are that [Dunta Robinson] will end up with the Falcons."

Wyche cautioned that "nothing is official" because, well, that's not allowed. But it sure sounded like a done deal. The Falcons front office has reportedly admired Robinson for years, and was hoping this day would come.

Atlanta already added Brian Williams to it's secondary Thursday, but still is thin at cornerback.
