Shuswap
would you still trade tony gonzo for the 2nd round pick.Thoughts?Me no i was so stoked when we got him
sdogg
I would have hate to have see our offense without TG and HD.
pr0d1gy
I'm going to say yes. He doesn't stretch the field at all anymore but he isn't scared to go over the middle and he will get 5-10+ touchdowns a year in our offense just on his experience, hands, and size alone. The Talon
Sure would be nice to have that 2 nd round pick back. I'm up in the air wheather yes or no.
Pina
without tony, we would still be under the back to back winning seasons curse... taking him out I would say we would have maybe 2 more loses so in my opinion I think he was and still is well worth it
Dem Birds
We won at least 4 games because we had Tony. I liked what we did when he wasn't on the field as far as getting the ball to Roddy and stretching the field, but I'm glad to have him. And like someone said, we didn't have HD, there for we would have had 1 very dependable receiver in just Roddy.
GuerillaOntology
You can say that now considering the draft is coming up and you want to see us pick someone in the 2nd round. Next season? Gonzo.
bossFALCON™
yes gonzo was a beast for us last year. he opened things up for roddy and he also was on pace for 96 catches until he got hurt. he also crushed the falcons single season rec record for TEs.that doesn't include all of the leadership he's brought and i'm sure he's helped a lot of our younger players on and off the field.he's the greatest all time. CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
Some of you may disagree with me on this but I think our Offense and Matt Ryan was better with out the big name Tight End!...Don't get me wrong I love that Tony-G is on the team but you can tell that Matt Ryan makes most of his mistakes when he tries to force the ball to GONZO! Jp7833
Some of you may disagree with me on this but I think our Offense and Matt Ryan was better with out the big name Tight End!...Don't get me wrong I love that Tony-G is on the team but you can tell that Matt Ryan makes most of his mistakes when he tries to force the ball to GONZO!That was Ryan's issue, not Tony's. Ryan will learn in the offseason, I am sure they will stress and address all that needs to be address in regards to his throwing decisions. Tony Gonzo took our offense to another level. He is the greatest TE to play the game, how could you be upset about a 2nd round pick when we are getting 2, and maybe even 3 or 4 good seasons out of him still. The guy is in great shape and really wants a superbowl. Tony Gonzo for a future 2nd round pick is one of the greatest trades ever.
JayOzOne
Without a doubt, that was a good trade.
Karst41
Gonzo is a Fantastic Player. Some of the catches he made last year are ones that you will probably never see again in the NFL.What ever Gonzo loses due to age, he more than make up in savvy.
